Brazilian striker Rodrigo Rodrigues, currently at Espérance, in Tunisia , expressed his expectation in facing Flamengo in the 2025 Club Super World Cup. In an interview with the Coluna do Fla portal, the player highlighted the importance of the confrontation, the opportunity to face great teams and the preparation of the Tunisian team for the challenge.
“We had very high expectations to find out which European giant we would face and even if it would be a Brazilian team, which ended up being confirmed with Flamengo. I believe they will be great games, and we will prepare as much as possible for the World Cup. Officially presented this Monday with the number 15 shirt, Jorge Carrascal arrived at Flamengo with the mission of strengthening the creative sector, occupying a role in which Arrascaeta has been a reference since 2019. Although he has not yet debuted with the Manto Sagrado, the Colombian midfielder stated that playing for the Rio de Janeiro club represents an important milestone in his professional career.
"The truth is, I came to Flamengo with a purpose: to work, compete, and achieve the best for the club. The short-term goal is to play and earn matches. I'll work hard, focus on the clear objective, and the lineup will depend on the coach," the player declared.
During the interview, Carrascal made a point of praising the club's structure and the Mais Querido's representation in the South American scene. According to him, the decision to wear the red-and-black jersey was made with conviction.

In his first interview, Carrascal emphasized the importance of teamwork.
" It's not about competition, that I will be his replacement , that I will not be his replacement. I came to Flamengo with the purpose of working, of competing, of trying to achieve the best for the club, the clear objectives that it has in the short term this season," the player declared.
Besides rejecting any kind of competition for position, Carrascal praised his teammate's quality. " Arrascaeta has a unique game. He's a great player. We've known Arrascaeta for many years, based on his abilities. He's a different player," he stated.
