0After the defeat to Fortaleza last Thursday (11), Flamengo turns its attention to the clash against Criciúma, valid for the 18th round of the Brazilian Championship. This game marks the reunion between the two clubs after ten years without facing each other. The clash, which promises to be exciting, will take place on July 20th.
The last time Flamengo and Criciúma met was in the second round of the 2014 Brazilian Championship, in a duel that ended tied 1-1 at Maracanã. Unlike the last clash, the 2024 match will be held at the Mané Garrincha Stadium, in Brasília, instead of Maracanã. Fan expectations are high, with almost 80% of tickets already sold. The high demand reflects the importance of the game for both fans and the expectation of a full stadium.
Historically, Flamengo has an advantage in direct confrontations against Criciúma. In 14 games played, Flamengo won eight, while Criciúma triumphed on two occasions. The next game, which will be the 15th between Flamengo and Criciúma, is scheduled for July 20th, at 4pm ( Brasília time), at the Mané Garrincha Stadium.
