Erick Pulgar underwent surgery last Thursday (3) to repair a fracture in the fifth metatarsal of his right foot in Chile. According to medical recommendations, the midfielder will have to rest for about 15 days. Therefore, he will return to Flamengo in the next two weeks.
It is worth remembering that Erick Pulgar asked Flamengo to perform the surgery in Chile. This is because the player wanted to follow the first steps of recovery alongside his family. Therefore, doctor Cristian Ortiz was responsible for performing the procedure.
In addition, Flamengo's doctor, Fernando Sassaki, followed the entire process. According to the note published by Flamengo, the Mais Querido professional “ kept in contact with the person responsible for the operation and had access to the post-operative x-ray , which confirmed the success of the intervention”.
Flamengo did not set a deadline for Pulgar's return to the pitch. However, the midfielder is expected to be out of action for two to three months, as he will not skip any stages in his recovery to avoid the risk of a new injury.
Thus, without Erick Pulgar, the Flamengo squad returned to CT Ninho do Urubu this past Saturday (5), to begin preparations for the match against São Paulo, on the 12th, for the Brasileirão. The game will start at 4:30 pm, at Maracanã.
The youngster is suffering from a serious knee injury and, having exceeded the age limit to play in the youth team, ended up being traded by Mais Querido.

Flamengo remains active in the market both in the professional and youth teams, where it is carrying out restructuring of the squads. Thus, Mais Querido agreed to sell defender Darlan to Botafogo-SP. Thus, the Ribeirão Preto team announced the creation of Ninho this past Saturday (5).
Before being announced, Darlan had already been training with his new teammates since last Tuesday (1). Now, the young defender awaits the opening of the transfer window , next Thursday (10), to be able to play for Botafogo-SP.
Darlan was considered one of the great promises of the "2004 Generation" in Flamengo's youth categories. The youngster was captain and starter of the under-20 team, but his career was interrupted due to a serious knee injury in the debut of the Copinha, in 2024.
Over the last few months, Darlan has been under the care of Flamengo's Medical Department and after recovering and being fit to return to the pitch, his future was uncertain. This is because the youngster was too old to play in the youth team and also did not have opportunities among the professionals.
So, while Darlan adapts to the new club, Flamengo's squad remains focused on preparing for the next challenges of the season. The Mais Querido returns to the field on July 12, against São Paulo, for the Brasileirão.
The now former Mais Querido player was attended by other athletes from the club; the event was held on the evening of this past Saturday (5)

Last week, Flamengo announced that it had received R$160 million from Zenit , the amount of Gerson's termination fee. Thus, the player is no longer part of Mais Querido and held a farewell party with other Rubro-Negro athletes , this past Saturday (5).

The number 10 even published a tribute to the team's former captain on Saturday afternoon (5).
"Synonymous with character and professionalism. Our group knows how important you were to our achievements and how much you put this team above all else. You have earned my respect and you are certainly a great idol ," declared the Uruguayan.
Despite having the company of some athletes at his farewell party, Gerson did not appear at CT Ninho do Urubu this Saturday, when the squad returned to continue the season.
