0The Flamengo is close to announcing an important change in its youth technical team. Filipe Luís, club idol and former full-back, was confirmed as the new coach of the under-20 team. According to GE, the decision was taken after a meeting this Tuesday (11) with the presence of important figures from the club, including vice-president of football Marcos Braz, president Rodolfo Landim and other members of the Football Council. p>
Filipe Luís had been playing a fundamental role as coach of Flamengo's under-17s, where he achieved good results and developed young talents. However, with the departure of Mário Jorge, who received an offer to work in Saudi Arabia, the club saw in Filipe Luís the ideal person to take over the under-20s.
THE GOLDEN CHANCE
The decision to promote Filipe Luís for the under-20s reflects the confidence that the Flamengo board has in him. Known for his international experience and leadership on the field, Filipe Luís brings a wealth of experience that promises to benefit young under-20 players.
With notable spells at clubs such as Atlético de Madrid and Chelsea, in addition to his career victorious in the Brazilian team, Filipe Luís is seen as a role model for young athletes. The expectation is that he will be able to transfer his technical and tactical knowledge, as well as his winning mentality, to the under-20 team.

0The first women's volleyball competition is Mengão's! This Friday (27), Flamengo won the National Cup of Pro-Vôlei Clubs. Against the current Superliga champion, Bernardinho's team played 3 sets to 0 at Minas, with scores of 25-15, 25-18 and 25-17. The duel took place at Ginásio Wilson Mânica, in Ijuí, Rio Grande do Sul.

Thus, in the last five Superligas, the Belo Horizonte team won four titles and one runner-up. In the squad, there are athletes who have played for the Brazilian team, such as Thaísa, Olympic champion and bronze medalist in this year's edition, in Paris.
SuperligaThe dates of the Women's Super League have not yet been announced. However, there is an expectation that the competition will start in October. In total, 12 teams will play the tournament, in a round-robin system, with the eight best qualifying for the quarter-finals.
In the last edition, after all, Flamengo was eliminated by Praia Clube in the semi-final . Therefore, the goal for 2024/25 is to reach the decision and repeat the title won in 2000/01, when Rubro-Negro beat Vasco, in a historic decision at the Ginásio do Maracanãzinho.

0FIFA will announce the venues for the 2025 Super Club World Cup this Saturday (28). The announcement will be made during the Global Citizen Festival. The event will be held in Central Park, New York. FIFA did not detail how many cities and stadiums will host the 2025 edition. This will be the first time that the tournament will feature 32 teams.
The Super World Cup will be held between June 15 and July 13, 2025 The competition already has 30 qualified teams, with three Brazilians among them: Palmeiras, Flamengo and Fluminense. Brazil may have one more representative. This is because Atlético-MG and Botafogo are fighting for the last South American place in the competition — the Libertadores title gives them the place. Peñarol [if they win the Libertadores] and Olímpia [if River wins the Libertadores] are the other teams in the running.
The places are divided into: 12 for Europe, six for South America, four for Asia, Africa and North, Central America and the Caribbean, one for Oceania and one for the host country.
In addition to the remaining MLS spot, which has not yet defined its representative, the other available entry belongs to South America. It is destined for the champion of the edition of 2024 of the Libertadores. If River Plate wins the title, it will be transferred to the Conmebol ranking in FIFA and would already have an owner: Olímpia-PAR.

The club has another final in sight
|
0On Thursday afternoon (26), the Flamengoguaranteed its place in the final of the Carioca Under-20 Championship by beating Boavista 2-0, in a game played in the Gavea. Under the command of Filipe Luís, the team managed to impose themselves on the field and confirm their favoritism. The goals were scored by Iago and Guilherme Gomes, both standing out in offensive plays and consolidating the result that gave Rubro-Negro classification.
In the first game, Flamengo had drawn with Boavista by 1 to 1, with Mengão's goal scored by Shirt 10, Guilherme Gomes. This result left the team in a situation where they needed a simple victory to advance. Filipe Luís, who has done consistent work at the head of the U20, opted for a balanced tactical scheme, and the team responded from the beginning.
The Flamengostarted the second leg with an offensive stance and put pressure on the opponent in the first minutes. Seven minutes into the game, Rubro-Negro opened the scoring with a header from Iago. The move began with a precise corner kick made by Guilherme Gomes, who found the captain free in the area to score the net and put Flamengo in the lead.
With the goal early, Flamengo controlled the pace and had control of the actions in the first stage. Boavista, on the other hand, tried to reorganize itself on the field, but found it difficult to advance due to Flamengo's strong marking. The red and black defensive system, with Iago and Da Mata, was safe, neutralizing Boavista's attacks and giving peace of mind to goalkeeper Lucas Furtado.
Coach Filipe Luís selected the team with Lucas Furtado in goal; Daniel Sales, Iago, Da Mata and Carbone forming the defensive line; in the middle, Rayan Lucas, Jean Carlos and Guilherme Gomes provided support in the transition and created good opportunities; and in attack, Germano, Felipe Teresa and Wallace Yan sought to put pressure on the opposing defense.
The second goal came at the beginning of the second half, after another well-constructed play by the midfield. Guilherme Gomes appeared again, this time as a finisher, taking advantage of a rebound inside the area and placing the ball in the back of the goal. With the score 2-0, Flamengo started to manage the result, but still had opportunities to extend the advantage.
