Flamengo, looking for reinforcements to meet the departure of Fabrício Bruno, dives into the market in search of names capable of strengthening his defensive line. According to information gathered by journalist Julio Miguel Neto, the red and black board is evaluating several options, and among them players of different nationalities and experiences stand out.

The favorite on the list of considerations is the Uruguayan defender Sebastián Cáceres, from 24 years old, currently linked to América de México until 2027. Cáceres, with his youth and potential, appears as a promising bet for Flamengo's defense, bringing with him the possibility of a solid future at the club.

< b>FLAMENGO HAS NEW PRIORITIES

Another name that stands out is that of Spaniard Domingos Duarte, from Getafe, aged 29 and has a contract in force until 2026 His experience and defensive solidity could be determining factors in the search for a consistent defense for the Rio team. However, Argentine Federico Gattoni, linked to Sevilla-ESP until 2027, appears as a viable alternative. Although he was offered to Flamengo, his signing is not ruled out, which highlights the club's search for solutions that meet its needs in the defensive sector.

On the other hand, Yerry Mina , with a contract in force with Cagliari-ITA until 2025, does not seem to attract the red and black board, being discarded from the options under analysis. This decision may indicate a preference for players with characteristics more in line with the requirements of Jorge Jesus' team.

In addition to replacing the defense, Flamengo's priorities in the market are other key positions, such as right-back , midfield and right winger. This broad approach highlights the club's search for a complete and competitive squad, capable of facing challenges both nationally and internationally.

FIFA will announce the venues for the 2025 Super Club World Cup this Saturday (28). The announcement will be made during the Global Citizen Festival. The event will be held in Central Park, New York. FIFA did not detail how many cities and stadiums will host the 2025 edition. This will be the first time that the tournament will feature 32 teams.

The Super World Cup will be held between June 15 and July 13, 2025 The competition already has 30 qualified teams, with three Brazilians among them: Palmeiras, Flamengo and Fluminense. Brazil may have one more representative. This is because Atlético-MG and Botafogo are fighting for the last South American place in the competition — the Libertadores title gives them the place. Peñarol [if they win the Libertadores] and Olímpia [if River wins the Libertadores] are the other teams in the running.

What will the Super Mundial be like?

< The competition organized by FIFA will be played for the first time with 32 teams next year. The United States will host the first edition of the tournament in this format. The 32 teams will be divided into eight groups with four teams each, with them facing each other in a single round. The top two in each group will advance to the round of 16. The knockout stage will be played in a single game.

The places are divided into: 12 for Europe, six for South America, four for Asia, Africa and North, Central America and the Caribbean, one for Oceania and one for the host country.

In addition to the remaining MLS spot, which has not yet defined its representative, the other available entry belongs to South America. It is destined for the champion of the edition of 2024 of the Libertadores. If River Plate wins the title, it will be transferred to the Conmebol ranking in FIFA and would already have an owner: Olímpia-PAR.

With enormous difficulty in completing the arrival of Léo Ortiz, Flamengo may once again target Portuguese defender Domingos Duarte. However, according to the portal UOL, Getafe has already made it clear to Mengão that the deal will have to be good for the Spanish club, as the window in Spain has closed and the team will no longer be able to replace any player's departure.

A season in European football is in its final stretch. In La Liga, Getafe is in tenth place, with 34 points, and still dreams of reaching sixth place, which gives it a place in the UEFA Conference League. Currently, sixth place is Real Sociedad, with 40 points. In other words, as a starter, Domingos Duarte can still be essential for his team to achieve goals this season. Flamengo is evaluating a better approach.

This February, GE reported that Flamengo Mais Querido had finalized the purchase of Domingos Duarte for 3 million euros. Getafe agreed to the values and the defender was excited about the possibility of transferring to Brazilian football. But after that, Red Bull Bragantino called Fla to talk to Léo Ortiz and once again encouraged Rubro-Negro. However, the deal has not yet been closed.

“He has the quality to reach the boat and even win some contests from below, he is 1.92m tall. He can, in this fight from below, have a highly significant number of victories given his size. Due to his slowness, he was supposed to be late, but that doesn't necessarily happen. But he does poorly in the air”, said Joza Novalis, on his YouTube channel.

It is worth remembering that Domingos Duarte was a defender partner of Pablo Marí, ex-Flamengo, during his time at Deportivo La Coruña.
