Flamengo and Corinthians start the duel of the two most popular clubs in the country in the semi-final of the Copa do Brasil this Wednesday, at 9:45 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã. This is the fifth clash between Flamengo and Corinthians in the Copa do Brasil. The red-and-blacks came out on top in 1989, 2019 and 2022, the year in which they decided the competition. The black and white team eliminated the Cariocas in the 2018 semifinal.
FLAMENGO SCALING
In his debut at the helm from Flamengo, Filipe Luís made an important change in the last training session before the duel with Corinthians. He removed Fabrício Bruno, starter since the beginning of 2023, and replaced Léo Ortiz. Another change was the entry of Wesley. Both the full-back and Ortiz were starters in the victory against Athletico-PR, but in the duel in question Tite led a mixed team.

Coach Eduardo Domínguez tested a more conservative formation, including an extra defensive midfielder in midfield, as a strategy to contain Flamengo's attacks. According to Radio Província 1270 in La Plata, the change could result in only one striker on the field , demonstrating a more solid defensive posture.
Estudiantes ' likely lineup for the clash includes: Muslera; Gómez, Nuñez, Rodríguez, Arzamendia; Ascacibar, Piovi, Amondarain, Medina, Tiago Palacios; Carrillo.
