Criciúma announced the signing of striker Pedro Rocha, a former Flamengo player, to reinforce its team in the continuity of the Brazilian Championship. At 29 years old, the athlete arrives on loan from Fortaleza until the end of Série A, looking to regain his best form and help Tigre achieve their goals in the competition.

In his official presentation, Pedro Rocha revealed his desire to enter the field as soon as possible, highlighting the opportunity to debut against Grêmio, the club that introduced him to Brazilian football.

"I'm very excited to play soon. I'm going to use this week to adapt and, if everything goes well, I'll be available for Sunday. It will be special to face Grêmio and count on the support of our fans at home", declared the striker.

PASSAGE TO FLAMENGO AND CAREER IN BRAZIL

Pedro Rocha had a brief spell at Flamengoat the end of 2019, when the Rio club was experiencing a moment of great euphoria after winning the Brazilian Championship and the Libertadores under the command of coach Jorge Jesus.

< The striker, who at the time belonged to Spartak Moscow, was loaned to Rubro-Negro, but frequent injuries ended up limiting his participation. During his time at Flamengo, Pedro Rocha scored just one goal, leaving a dull impression.

Before arriving at Criciúma, the player also wore the Cruzeiro and Athletico-PR shirts in Brazil, in addition to having played in European football with Spartak Moscow.

Interestingly, Pedro Rocha will meet other athletes at Criciúma who have played for Flamengo. Among them are Trauco and Felipe Vizeu, who were also part of the red and black squad in past seasons. The meeting of these players could bring valuable experience to the Santa Catarina team in the final stretch of the Brasileirão.

The Libertadores starts in February, still in the preliminary stages, while the ball rolls in the South American Championship in March. Regarding the selection calendar, there will be qualifying rounds in March, June and September. Grêmio started, this Tuesday (11), the sale of tickets for the match against Flamengo in the 27th round of the Brasileirão. Sales are exclusive to members of the Rio Grande do Sul team at first. Find out prices and when the Red and Blacks will be able to buy tickets for the game on Sunday (22), at Arena do Grêmio, when the team will try to win again in the national tournament after two rounds.

The Gaúcho team published information about ticket sales on its official website. The club's fan members are free to buy tickets from 11 am this Tuesday, with prices ranging from R$40 to R$220. But the opening to the general public, which includes Flamengo fans, will be on Thursday Monday (19), at 11am. Purchases are made via the website arenapoa.com.br.

It is worth highlighting that Arena do Grêmio still operates with reduced capacity, but will increase in relation to games after the tragedy in Rio Grande do Sul at the beginning of the year. There will be 24 thousand places available, 1.5 thousand of which will be allocated to the Nation. Visitor tickets for Grêmio x Flamengo cost R$170 (full) and R$85 (half).

Ticket sales are made exclusively online and run until 6:30 p.m. Sunday, the time scheduled for the match's opening whistle.

Flamengo tries to win again in the Brasileirão

Fla's last two rounds were, respectively, defeat to Corinthians and draw with Vasco. Results that culminated in Botafogo and Palmeiras expanding their advantage over Rubro-Negro at the end of the 26th round.

Rio-Negro from Rio de Janeiro has 45 points and occupies fourth place, eight less than leader Botafogo. Palmeiras, eliminated from the Copa do Brasil and Libertadores, reached 50 points. Therefore, even if they have one game less than their rival, Flamengo would need at least two more games to have a chance of retaking the lead.

The start could be precisely in the round of Grêmio x Flamengo, yet another reason for fans to buy tickets. This is because Botafogo has a classic against Fluminense, who are fighting to get away from the Z4, while Palmeiras visits Vasco. In other words, rivals can help Fla.
