Gabigol revealed that he spoke with Titee apologized to Flamengo players after wearing the Corinthians shirt in a leaked photo when he was off at home. In an exclusive interview with UOL columnist André Hernan, Gabi apologized for having worn the São Paulo black and white team's shirt, but remembered that he did it in a moment of relaxation, at home.
The player declared that he admitted his mistake, revealing that he addressed the topic in a chat with Tite and apologized to his Flamengo colleagues for the act. According to Gabigol, the reaction of the cast and the technical committee was positive.
"The other day, the board took care of everything, listened to me. They were very honest with me. And I also asked not to train because I was headless at that moment. It was really something that hurt me. And only today (19) did I speak to Professor Tite, only today did I apologize to the players. Man, the reaction they had was the best possible. theirs, in fact. This act of putting on the shirt, several players must do at their house, when relaxing. Before going to sleep, they put on a pair of shorts from another team. They understood me. Ticket sales for the first leg of the CONMEBOL Libertadores quarter-finals, between Flamengo and opponent still to come to be defined, starts this Monday (9), at 10am. The game will be held on September 19th, at 7pm, at Maracanã. Nação fan members will have priority to purchase through the official website (flamengo.superingresso.com.br).
For the match, all fans who buy tickets online, in any sector of the stadium, will need to use registered facial biometrics to access Maracanã. No other means of access will be permitted for tickets purchased digitally. In addition, fans must have their original documents with photo upon entry.
Access to the stadium's security perimeter will be controlled by a dynamic QR code generated by the application Fla Tickets. Access to the interior of Maracanã will be done through facial biometrics.

After a photo was leaked wearing the Corinthians shirt, Gabriel Barbosa was punished by Flamengo's management and lost the right to wear the Rio club's number 10. Initially, Rubro-Negro does not intend to make the mantle available to the squad again and will be without the 'mystical' number immortalized by names like Zico, Petkovic and Adriano Imperador. But when was the last time that Flamengo went without using its main shirt for a long period?
The incident happened between the end of 2014 and the middle of the 2015 season. On that occasion, the attacking midfielder Argentine Lucas Mugni, currently in Ceará, had been registered with the number 10 shirt. However, after numerous bad performances, the athlete was registered with number 11 in the following season.
From the beginning of 2015 until the middle of that year , Flamengo kept the number ten shirt unused. Until, in July, the Rio club handed over the main number to Ederson. Considered a great signing at the time, the midfielder arrived in Brazil after obtaining a release from Lazio, in Italy, after years of playing in European football.
The number ten shirt belonged to Ederson until March 2017, when Diego Ribas was registered with the number for the CONMEBOL Libertadores dispute. In 2018, the number remained definitively with the club's idol until his retirement, which happened at the end of the 2022 season.
For 2023, the mystical ten was given to Gabriel Barbosa, who was with the shirt until last week, when there was controversy over the photo with the Corinthians uniform. The star's last performance with the number on his back took place in the 4-0 rout of Bolívar, in the Libertadores, on the 15th of this month. Gabriel was on the field for 20 minutes.
Gabigol debuted with the number 10 shirt on January 15, 2023, in the 4-1 victory over Portuguesa-RJ at Maracanã, in the Campeonato Carioca. Score built with a goal from him. Wearing Flamengo's number 10 shirt, Gabigol played 70 games, scored 22 goals and provided four assists.
