Rubro Negro beat Cruzeiro by a score of 2-0 on Thursday night (19), in a match valid for the 27th round of the Brazilian Championship. The game marked Tite's debut as Mais Querido's new commander and saw Flamengo move up to third place in the league table.
The match against Cruzeiro was Tite's first in command of Flamengo. The coach was announced last week, on Monday (09) and gave eight training sessions to the Rubro Negro squad before staying on the edge of the pitch. With the new coach, Mais Querido will seek direct classification for the group stage of the Libertadores, as they achieved the feat in recent editions.
Currently, Flamengo is in third place in the Brazilian Championship league table, with 47 points won. Tite's idea is to take the club directly to the Libertadores, achieving the highest possible score in the last 12 games.
Therefore, according to journalist Fred Gomes, from GE, the Rubro Negro squad will reappear in the CT Ninho do Urubu on the afternoon of this Friday (20), at 3 pm to begin preparation for next Sunday's match (22), against Vasco. On Saturday (21), the team will arrive at CT at 2:30 pm to begin the concentration regime for the classic.
Flamengo and Vasco will face each other next Sunday (22), at 4 pm, at Maracanã Stadium. The match will be valid for the 28th round of the Brazilian Championship and will mark Tite's debut at Templo Sagrado under the command of Rubro Negro. All tickets for the classic are sold out.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm.
