Sesc Flamengo faces Londrina in the second game of the Taça Brasil this Wednesday (24)

Sesc RJ Flamengo started the 2025/2026 season on the right foot. In its debut in the Taça Brasil, this Tuesday (09/23), the red-and-black team defeated Sancor Maringá by 3 sets to 0 , with partial scores of 25-22, 25-22 and 25-20, at the Moringão gym, in Londrina (PR). The tournament is played in a quadrangular format, which also includes Gerdau Minas and Londrina Vôlei, in round-robin matches to determine the champion.

Under assistant coach Helio Griner , Sesc RJ Flamengo stood out for its collective strength, especially in decisive moments. The team had to deal with significant absences: coach Bernardinho did not travel to Paraná after the death of his mother, and outside hitter Simone Lee is still recovering from a cut on her foot.

JUJU LEADS THE SCORE

Middle blocker Juju was the star of the match, scoring 15 points. Opposite Tainara contributed 14 points, and outside hitter Helena had 13. "I'm really happy, first of all with the result. I really enjoy being able to help the team in the best way possible ," she said before concluding.
