Flamengo is listed in a report presented this Friday (5) by STJD rapporteur Mauro Marcelo de Lima e Silva as one of the 25 victims, including clubs, players and referees, of unfounded complaints by the owner of SAF Botafogo, John Textor.
The auditor voted to punish John Textor with six years of suspension and a fine of R$ 2 million, and also announced that he had forwarded evidence to the Court so that a criminal complaint could be filed against the owner of Botafogo.

The auditor considered that Textor violated, on several occasions, the following articles of the Brazilian Code of Sports Justice:
Flamengo is listed as a victim due to complaints made by Textor against the decisions of referee Raphael Claus in the second round match of the Brazilian Championship of the year past, won 2-1 by Flamengo at Engenhão.

The report records Flamengo's response to Textor's complaints:“Flamengo, through its lawyers, responded to the accusations of the owner of Botafogo, Mr. Textor, about the alleged manipulation of results and arbitration benefits in a 2023 match. The club highlighted that the report used as The evidence was unilateral and produced by the accuser himself. VAR and expert analysis confirmed the legality of the questioned goals.
