The STJD (Superior Court of Sports Justice) scheduled a trial for the 21st that could cost Flamengo dearly in the decisive stretch of the Brazilian Championship. In the same session, Gerson, Bruno Henrique and Flamengo himself will go to trial for the incidents in the match against Santos, at Mané Garrincha.

Expelled for elbowing Julio Furch after a VAR review, Gerson was reported for physical aggression, in article 254-A. The minimum sentence if convicted under this article is 4 matches. As he has already served an automatic suspension, the midfielder would miss the games against Bragantino, América-MG and Atlético-MG and would only return in the penultimate round, against Cuiabá.

The maximum penalty can reach 12 games, the which would remove Gerson from the rest of the championship.

In turn, Bruno Henrique was framed in article 258, for “disrespecting the members of the refereeing team or disrespectfully complaining about their decisions”. The minimum sentence is one year, and in this case Bruno Henrique would be free to play. But the maximum punishment could reach six matches, which would also take the attacker out of the championship.

Flamengo could be fined and lose control for objects thrown on the field

< Finally, Flamengo will respond for “failing to take measures capable of preventing and repressing the throwing of objects on the field”. The punishment can be a fine of up to R$100,000 and loss of one to ten field goals.

In the summary, referee Raphael Klein recorded that plastic bottles and seats were thrown onto the field at three different times at the end of the match. One of these bottles hit defender Rodrigo Caio.

Although the game was played at Mané Garrincha, the loss of field control would prevent Flamengo from playing at Maracanã. The game against Bragantino is not at risk as tickets will already be sold at this point, but the matches against Atlético-MG and Cuiabá could be affected.

In addition, Flamengo will also respond for delay on the field lap at halftime. In this case, the expected punishment is a fine of R$1,000 per minute. The STJD scheduled the trial of Gerson, Bruno Henrique and Flamengo for 10am on the 21st, two days before Flamengo's game against Bragantino, at Maracanã.
