The basis of Flamengo is proving to be one of the best in the country every day. In addition to revealing big names to wear the red and black shirt, the "crias" have helped by being financial assets for the club. In this sense, the Ninho boys have one more tournament ahead of them.

The U15 team is looking for their second NP Cup championship, in São Paulo, and met their group stage opponents last night (19). Mais Querido is in Group B, and will face Atlético-MG, RB Bragantino and São Paulo. The debut takes place at 10:15 am this Monday (20), against the Minas Gerais team.

The Boys from the Nest traveled yesterday to Itu, where they will be concentrated for the matches that will be held at the Desportivo Brasil Training Center. The second game of the team led by Vinicius Durante will be against RB Bragantino, on Tuesday (21) at 11:30.

The last round foresees the confrontation between Flamengo and São Paulo, on Wednesday (22) also 11:30. The best placed teams advance to the stage and face the teams from group A, which are made up of Athletico-PR, Fluminense, Fortaleza and Palmeiras.

The last time Flamengo lifted the competition cup was in 2018 , with the 2003 generation being led by Mario Jorge. In 2024, Vinicius Durante will have the chance again, now with the 2009 generation. In 2024, the category won the first international trophy of the season, when they won the IberCup Cascais in Portugal, last month. Get at him, kids!

This last Saturday (8), coach Ramon Menezes brought together the Brazilian under-20 team for a training game against Botafogo, after a week of training at Granja Comary, the CBF concentration in Teresópolis. The Brazilian team beat the black and white team 7-0, with three goals from Flamengo athletes.

The week of training for the Brazilian under-20 team between June 3 and 8 was the beginning of the team's preparation for the South American Championship category, in January 2025, in Peru. This is because Ramon Menezes was unable to qualify Brazil for the Paris Olympics, which are now taking place in July and August.

In the game this past Saturday (8), Brazil had no difficulty in beating Botafogo under-20. The 7-0 victory was built on three goals from Flamengo players. Lorran scored twice and defender Iago scored the third. Both athletes plus Rayan Lucas have already returned to Mais Querido.

EXPECTATION FOR THE TITLE

With the absences of Arrascaeta and De La Cruz, as they are with the Uruguay team for the dispute of the Copa América, there is an expectation that Lorran will be a starter in Rubro-Negro's next match. This is because Ninho's son had already replaced the Uruguayans in previous games.

FOCUS ON THE NEXT CONFRONTATION

So, with Lorran available, the Flamengo squad continues to prepare for the next clash, against Grêmio, in the eighth round of the Brasileirão. Mais Querido returns to the field next Thursday (13th), at 8pm, at Maracanã.

After Mário Jorge left for Saudi Arabia, Flamengo has defined who will be the replacement in the under-20 team: Filipe Luís. The former full-back started his career as a coach this season , played in two tournaments and stood out for his goals with the under-17s. The last match of 'Filipinho', as he was known during his time as a Mengão athlete, will be on Monday (17), against Vasco, in the Rio Cup final.

Filipe Luís will complete his 19th game in the 'Classic of Millions'. So far, there have been 15 wins and three defeats. In Copa Rio, only one negative result, in the third round, against Vasco. It is worth noting that the former full-back was not on the bench against Nova Iguaçu and Botafogo, in the first phase, as he traveled with the main under-17 group to the United States. In North America, the coach competed in the Generation Cup, reaching the semifinals.

Of the 15 victories, the number of goals that stands out is notable. Filipe Luís' Flamengo scored three or more goals in eight opportunities. In other words, above 50% of matches. Finally, the team scored 52 goals and conceded just 14.

Next Monday (17), in São Januário, Flamengo and Vasco face each other in game 2 of the decision, at 3 pm (Brasília time). The match was initially scheduled for Saturday (15), in Nova Iguaçu, but the rival requested a change of date and stadium.

As they won in Gávea 2-1, Flamengo could even play for a draw to keep the cup. If Vasco wins by a goal difference, the decision will go to penalties. The rival won the right to decide at home for having had a better campaign in the first phase.
