Flamengo's headquarters in Gávea was the stage for the official exhibition of the FIFA Club World Cup trophy on Monday (05). The event is part of the tour promoted by the world's top football authority and placed the trophy next to the room dedicated to the world title won by the Rio de Janeiro club in 1981. The event is part of a series of visits to club headquarters around the world and, this time, attracted fans and football lovers to the museum in Rio de Janeiro.
The trophy will be open for viewing again on Tuesday (06), from 9 am to 8 pm, Brasília time. Members and fan members have free access, while the general public can purchase tickets for R$80. The piece, full of symbolism, features a world map and representations of the 211 countries affiliated with FIFA. One of the most striking details is the engraving that illustrates the position of the planets in the solar system at the time of the competition's opening game, scheduled for June 13, 2025.
In addition to the trophy display, visitors can interact with technological and playful experiences during the event. The mascots Binho and Urubão were present and helped to liven up the atmosphere, especially for children. The structure also includes interactive resources at the Flamengo Museum and a personalized photo booth with facial recognition, offering an exclusive digital souvenir of the visit.
Before arriving in Gávea, the trophy visited other international destinations. Tunisia's Espérance de Tunis had contact with the piece in February, while England's Chelsea received it in March. The global tour promoted by FIFA seeks to highlight the universal dimension of the tournament, and Rio de Janeiro was one of the strategic points on the itinerary through Brazil. After the capital of Rio de Janeiro, the trophy will head to São Paulo and then to Mexico and Miami, where the opening match will take place.
In Group D of the tournament, Flamengo is the only one of the three confirmed teams that has not yet had contact with the trophy. The group includes Espérance de Tunis and Chelsea, while the fourth spot remains undefined. León, initially drawn by FIFA, was withdrawn from the competition due to administrative issues involving management conflicts with Pachuca. The expectation is that América-MEX and Los Angeles FC will decide who will be Flamengo's final opponent in the first phase of the international competition.
Victory over Internacional in the Libertadores puts Mengão above the main teams in European football, such as the Spanish team and the French champions.

Rubro-Negro overcame European football powers such as PSG, Real Madrid and Barcelona , who recorded 42, 39 and 37 victories, respectively, which further consolidates the numbers achieved since the coach began his work at Mengão.
