On the afternoon of this past Sunday (14), the match between Flamengoand Atlético GO in the first round of the Brazilian Championship was marked by refereeing errors right at the beginning of the confrontation, when referee André Luiz Policarpo Bento sent off coach Jair Ventura after he requested a red card for a Mais Querido.

After the confrontation, Jair Ventura held a press conference and asked that the arbitration professional no longer be selected for referee games for the team from Goiás, since the team was completely harmed.

JAIR VENTURA OPENS UP ABOUT THE REFEREE WHO EXPULDED HIM

"Good evening. If I If we're going to do an analysis of the game, we'll be here for a long time. Today's referee did the same thing in our game against Real Brasília. He got to be the protagonist. I think that when we prepare to face one of the biggest teams in Brazilian football, where we have Arrascaeta and Pedro, André (referee) can be more of a protagonist than them. He managed. I took a look at my cell phone and that's all we're talking about," he declared, before concluding:

"I completed 303 career games today, and it's only my second expulsion. Today the referee was mainly responsible for the score of the game. If I just talk about football, my team played a good game. But then it started: he expelled me, he expelled one more, he expelled another", and he continued:

"It's difficult. I hope he can never referee our games again. I hope it goes to the recycling bin to review the errors. Nothing against the new referees, but the day he has more humility and leaves the leading role in the game to the players, who knows, he might not improve", concluded Jair Ventura, in a press conference.

NEXT CONFRONTATION OF THE FLAMENGO

After beating Atlético GO, Mais Querido focuses on the match against São Paulo, in the second round of the Brasileirão. Rubro-Negro welcomes the team from São Paulo on the night this coming Wednesday (17th), at 9:30 pm, at Maracanã.

Flamengo drawn 1-1 with Vasco this Sunday (15), in the 26th round of the Brasileirão. In the post-game press conference, Tite expressed his dissatisfaction with Raphael Claus' refereeing, criticizing the criteria adopted by the referee in a move that resulted in the Vasco team's goal.

“For me, it was a foul. at Léo Pereira, and it's outside the area, but there's an imbalance behind. We and Bahia whistled there. He gave it to Michael. The criteria confuse me. Claus confuses me. He gets in the way of my ideas. Having made this observation, there is a context, there is a possibility of a shot going towards the goal, there is a surplus with Léo to define. Afterwards, he is able to finish the play or interrupt to recover”, said the coach.

Gerson also criticizes the refereeing

After the match, Gerson also complained about a foul not marked in the play that led to Vasco's goal. “An excellent match. We dominated practically the entire game. Unfortunately, in the end, on a ball that in my opinion was a foul, the referee didn't give it and we conceded the goal. Vasco only had this chance. We are sad to have played an excellent match and conceded a goal at the end”, said the Flamengo captain. p>The play

Léo Pereira advanced on the left side of the attack, but lost the ball in a dispute with a Vasco player, which left a space in the defense of Flamengo. Referee Raphael Claus did not call a foul, and the game continued. Vasco took advantage of the opportunity and, after a header from Coutinho, found the net. The classic ended in a 1-1 draw, and Tite's team had 45 points, remaining eight points behind leader Botafogo, who has 53.

Now it's Libertadores

Flamengo turns its attention to the confrontation with Peñarol (URU) in the quarter-finals of the Libertadores. The match will be on Thursday (19), at 7pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã.
