Still at the press conference, Cleber dos Santos regretted the penalty committed by Felipe Vieira, young defender who replaced Cleiton, who traveled to join the main squad in the United States.
"It was a great regret, because (Felipe Vieira's penalty) was the team's best moment, back in the second half. The team returns better, more organized, exchanging more passes and managing to be more forceful in the opponent's area. When we score a goal, we gain extra motivation. The athletes have this in mind, trying to turn the match around. Unfortunately it (the penalty) happened. It's harder for you to row again against an adverse score. Now, the Flamengo focuses on the clash against Bangu, in the fourth round of the State Championship. Rubro-Negro returns to the field on Wednesday (22), at 7pm, at the Castelão Stadium, in São Luís. Thus, Mais Querido will try to seek their first victory in the competition against the last placed team in the tournament.
With an almost complete squad and a favorable record, the Rio de Janeiro team is trying to extend its lead against the Bahian team at Maracanã.
