Flamengo's women's water polo team will participate in a blood donation campaign organized by Rede D’Or, sponsor of the Flamengo Olympic Aquatics and Artistics project via the Federal Sports Incentive Law. The action will take place on May 29th, at Theatro Riachuelo, from 8am to 5pm, where temporary collection points will be installed.
Rede D'Or reported that the expectation is that approximately 300 donations will be made in both event days. The participation of Flamengo's women's water polo athletes was confirmed to MRN by the club's advisors.
Mário Sampaio, responsible for attracting donors from GSH Banco de Sangue Serum, highlighted the importance of the event being held at Theatro Riachuelo, located in the center of Rio de Janeiro, facilitating access for donors. According to him, the strategic location of the theater will allow more people to donate for the first time.
Currently, the Blood Bank's stocks have a deficit of 70%. Therefore, the event aims to rebalance the situation, with Flamengo's participation being an important tool to raise awareness and engage the population about the importance of blood donation.
Leandro Reis, vice- medical president of Rede D'Or, commented on the importance of publicizing the topic to raise awareness among the population and increase participation in blood donations. He invited people to donate blood, ensuring that there will be all the necessary structure to receive volunteers safely.
Al-Ahli, from Saudi Arabia, already has an agreement with the player, but the payment method presented did not please Mengão and the deal may not go through.

Even with an advanced agreement, the sale of Matheus Gonçalves to Al-Ahli may not materialize. The obstacle lies in the payment method proposed by the Saudi club , which creates uncertainty about the future of the 20-year-old attacking midfielder.
According to Flazoeiro and Flabase, a European club has also entered the fray, intending to make a move on the Jeddah team . His most recent highlight was Flamengo's U-20 World Cup victory over Barcelona at the Maracanã . However, in the final, the midfielder didn't perform well and missed one of the red-and-black team's penalty kicks.
The Mais Querido team faces the Argentine team at Maracanã, in the knockout stage, and the ticket prices have already been released.

Flamengo faces Estudiantes at Maracanã in the Copa Libertadores and has already started ticket sales. The club has also defined the locations for free ticket collection , as well as the schedule for ticket sales to members and the general public.
Free tickets must be collected in person, with an official photo ID and CPF. Please note that this must be done in advance, as there will be no pick-ups on the day of the match. The available ticket offices are:

After the 1-1 draw between Flamengo and Grêmio this Sunday (31), at Maracanã, Mano Menezes commented on the red-black 8-0 thrashing of Vitória, which occurred days before. The coach stated that he did not use the match as a reference to prepare his team.

"We know Maracanã, we know what the confidence of a packed stadium means when Flamengo is doing well. It's very difficult to contain that momentum. But anyone with experience in football knows that an 8-0 rout is not something to analyze; it's an exception to all exceptions ," he declared.
Mano then explained how he sees the red-and-black team currently: "You need to analyze Flamengo this season, the last few games. With Saúl's arrival, the team has taken on new characteristics. It's a team that demands awareness, changing marking, and a lot of defensive balance . Our team performed well in this regard, offering little to an opponent of this quality," he concluded.
Flamengo dominated much of the match and opened the scoring eight minutes into the second half, with a one-two between Pedro and Arrascaeta, who finished for goal . The Rio de Janeiro team created opportunities to extend their lead, but conceded an equalizer in the 40th minute. After a Grêmio counterattack, the ball hit Ayrton Lucas's arm inside the box, and the referee awarded a penalty. Goalkeeper Thiago Volpi converted, making it 1-1.
With the result, Flamengo reached 47 points and maintained its sole lead in the Brasileirão . Cruzeiro is second with 44, followed by Palmeiras with 42. Grêmio is in 12th place with 25 points. The Mais Querido will now return to action on September 14th, when it travels to Caxias do Sul to face Juventude.
