Flamengo will face Grêmio in the next round of the Brazilian Championship with six confirmed absences. The absence of the players was determined after the request for recall made by the Rio club during the preparatory friendlies was denied by the Uruguay and Chile teams.

The players who will be absent from Flamengo are Varela, Matías Viña, Pulgar, From La Cruz and Arrascaeta. The teams' refusal to release these athletes will leave the Rio team without these key players for the clash against Grêmio, led by Renato Portaluppi.
