Coach Tite has a great history in football. The most successful chapters in this story came when the current coach of Flamengo was ahead of next Sunday's rival (1) for the Brazilian Championship: Corinthians. The 63-year-old Gaucho is the second coach who has led Timão the most times, with 378 matches, only Oswaldo Brandão is ahead of him with 441 games.

Now, the coach is experiencing a preparation that he hasn't faced in 15 years. Tite will play against Corinthians as a visitor for the first time since 2009. The last time Tite faced Timão away from home was in the final of the Copa do Brasil on June 17 of that year, when he was commander of Internacional. In that match, Colorado was defeated at Pacaembu by the home team 2-0, goals from Jorge Henrique and star Ronaldo Fenômeno, in the first game of the final match.

Tite's Internacional, who eliminated precisely Flamengo in the quarter-finals of the competition that year, would not be able to reverse the result in the return game, being tied 2-2 in Beira Rio and it was the runner-up of the Copa do Brasil, Alecsandro, who played for Mais Querido in 2014 he scored both goals for Colorado, while Jorge Henrique and André Santos scored for the Corinthians side.

This Sunday's match, however, brings a new sensation for the Flamengo coach. It will be the first time that the commander will be a visitor at the Neo Química Arena, the Corinthians stadium that was built for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Tite only managed Timão, owner of the Arena, and the Brazilian team, in qualifying matches, at the field in the region of Itaquera, east of São Paulo.

Asked in post-game press conference of the Copa do Brasil about playing for the first time against his former club at the stadium, Tite avoided it and preferred to focus on the game against Bahia and its nuances. “There’s a lot for us to talk about about the game [against Bahia]. Happiness for the team's performance, the decisions we have to make based on a sequence, the athletes' entries, Bruno Henrique's 9. There are a lot of cool things to talk about”, said the coach.
