Flamengo coach Tite apologized this Saturday (2) for a response he gave last weekend regarding the case of Daniel Alves. In Barcelona, Spain, the former Brazilian national team player was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for rape.
“Guys, I'm sorry. I'm sorry about the answer I gave in the case of Dani Alves. Forgiveness. Some items: the error, the crime was judged by the courts and was convicted. The comparison I made about the case was inappropriate, it was meaningless, it was inappropriate”, said Tite, in a press conference.
“The professional stage we had together was very correct and respectful. I reaffirm that I believe in education as guidance, with punishment, as I was modeled by Seu Agenor and Dona Ivone, my parents. I continue to believe this way”, he added.
Last week, Tite, also a former coach of the Brazilian national team, recalled a case involving another player: Neymar. The attacker's case, however, was not judged or debated in court and, without the presentation of evidence, it did not move forward.
“When I went to a press conference that there was a problem with Neymar, there were 24 questions, I had to answer 18 regarding an alleged (rape). And I said the same thing to you: I don't have in-depth knowledge about this. But whoever makes a mistake must be punished. That’s how it was, and that’s how I learned”, said Tite, at the time.

A former Flamengo target in the primeira window of the year, is almost certainly a rival from Rio. This is because Botafogo overcame previous difficulties with Udinese and is still in the process of signing Matheus Martins, a 21-year-old striker. "For me: Ronaldo, Romário and Adriano, I'm a big fan of them and I always try to imitate them. I know there's a lot missing. And I like the fans because they're creative: “it's Adriano Imperador's Avatar”, “Bellingham da Gávea”… That's cool.
