Flamengo suffered a shameful defeat to Corinthians this Sunday afternoon (1), in a game valid for the 25th round of the Brasileirão. Mais Querido was unable to create big chances against the team that was in the relegation zone before the start of the match and this angered the fans, who demanded improvement from the team. Thus, after the confrontation, Tite promised that Rubro-Negro would improve after the FIFA Date.

After Flamengo's defeat at the Neo Química Arena, Tite held a press conference and promised the red-black fans that the team would improve after the FIFA Date. The coach also highlighted that the team's performance will be in line with the confrontation against Palmeiras and Bolívar, when Mais Querido eliminated both from the Copa do Brasil and Libertadores, respectively.

“The team after the FIFA date has to return to the standard (of games against) Palmeiras, Bolívar, Bragantino. Today, if we had a little more lucidity in the offensive part, we would score more goals. We will recover”, said Tite in a press conference after the 2-1 defeat to Corinthians.

FLAMENGO’S SITUATION IN THE BRASILEIRÃO

With the defeat , Flamengo distanced itself from the fight for the Brasileirão title, remaining stagnant at 44 points, six less than leader Botafogo. Furthermore, Rubro-Negro took Itaquera's team out of the relegation zone, where they had been since the fourth round of the competition.

FIFA DATE WILL BE TO RECOVER PLAYERS

Now, the Brazilian calendar will have a 10-day break for the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. This way, Rubro-Negro will have time to try to recover at least two athletes for the sequence of games in September . Furthermore, Tite will be able to train the team and solve the problems that arose during the last matches.

Despite having a good squad, Flamengo often suffers during the FIFA Data breaks, as half of its athletes are called up for the Brazil, Uruguay and Chile teams. Thus, with the tight Brazilian calendar, Rodolfo Landim harshly criticized the period and assessed the consequences for the red and black squad, as the CBF did not stop the Brasileirão during the Copa América.

"It's a burden of We are competing in three competitions. When we have the FIFA break, which would be the time to better condition the players, we end up losing them to the national teams. And worse, seeing that they end up being subjected to a training load that is not always appropriate. ideal. This considering all the history that the player had within the club", said Rodolfo Landim, in an interview last Tuesday (17) with 'TNT Sports Brasil'.

FLAMENGO NA COMPETITION IN THREE COMPETITIONS

As mentioned by the red-black president, Flamengo is alive in three competitions. Mais Querido is in contention for the Brasileirão title, as well as being in the semi-finals of the Copa do Brasil and the quarter-finals of the Libertadores.

However, with the tight Brazilian calendar and being in all three competitions , Rubro-Negro has suffered from the intense load that some athletes are facing, such as Varela, Arrascaeta, De La Cruz, Erick Pulgar, Gerson and Fabrício Bruno, who were called up for their respective teams.

< b>NEXT GAME
