Flamengo suffered a shameful defeat to Corinthians this Sunday afternoon (1), in a game valid for the 25th round of the Brasileirão. After Flamengo's defeat at the Neo Química Arena, Tite held a press conference and promised the red-black fans that the team would improve after the FIFA Date. The coach also highlighted that the team's performance will be in line with the confrontation against Palmeiras and Bolívar, when Mais Querido eliminated both from the Copa do Brasil and Libertadores, respectively.

With the defeat , Flamengo distanced itself from the fight for the Brasileirão title, remaining stagnant at 44 points, six less than leader Botafogo. Furthermore, Rubro-Negro took Itaquera's team out of the relegation zone, where they had been since the fourth round of the competition.
Now, the Brazilian calendar will have a 10-day break for the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
