The Flamengo is preparing for a decisive clash against Atlético-GO this Sunday (28), in the 20th round of the Brazilian Championship. The Rio team will hold their last training session before the match this Saturday (27), at Maracanã. Coach Tite only has this opportunity to define the lineup of the 11 starters who will take the field.
The preparation of the players who participated in the last match against Vitória was focused on regenerative activities at the Ninho do Urubu academy. The reserves went to the field and trained under the close supervision of Tite, who is analyzing all possibilities to put together a competitive team capable of winning the three points in the next round.
TITE HAS A NEW HEADACHE
With a solid campaign so far, Flamengo seeks to maintain the pace and secure its position among the championship leaders. The fans' expectations are high, and the support in the Maracanã stands promises to be an additional factor in motivating the team. For the technician Tite, the challenge of Defining the 11 starters is big. With a squad full of talents, the coach needs to find the perfect balance between defense and attack. The physical condition of the athletes, especially after the sequence of games, is a crucial factor in this decision.
The regenerative work carried out by the starters aims at muscular recovery and mental preparation of the players, ensuring that they are in top shape for the duel against Atlético-GO. Meanwhile, the reserves make the most of every minute on the training field to show their service and win a place among those chosen for the match.

Defender revealed in Mais Querido is enjoying a great phase in Europe, arrives at the National Team under Carlo Ancelotti and attracts interest from international clubs

Alexsandro Ribeiro is one of the new additions to the Brazilian national team called up by Carlo Ancelotti. The 26-year-old defender, a Flamengo youth product, made his debut in June and started in his first two matches with the national team.
Currently playing for Lille in France, the defender is enjoying one of the best moments of his career, after facing difficulties at the beginning of his professional career. In an exclusive interview with 365Scores, held at Granja Comary in Teresópolis, Alexsandro revealed that he almost gave up football after leaving Flamengo as a teenager.
" I played for Flamengo, and when the decision to leave came, I never imagined it would be so difficult for a 16- or 17-year-old. It was the hardest time of my life, spending a year and a half without a club, going through tryouts and trials. Many times, I returned to Rio with an empty suitcase, without hope, wanting to stop playing ," the player said.
In addition to reaching the round of 16 of the 2024/25 Champions League , the defender was also the target of a bid from Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr in the last transfer window. The deal, however, fell through due to a decision by Lille's board, which opted to keep him on the squad.
" The only offer I received was from Al-Nassr, but the president wouldn't let me go and said he needed me for this year . I spoke to him and made it clear that I didn't want to leave, but I also didn't want to stay; it would depend on him. I wasn't going to fight him because I'm grateful to him and for the opportunity he gave me. It was calm, so to speak, because we know that Saudi Arabia is a very tempting offer," Alexsandro stated.
