The Flamengo was denounced this Wednesday (20) by the Prosecutor's Office of the Court of Sports Justice of Rio de Janeiro (TJD-RJ) for homophobic chants. The episode took place at Fla-Flu last Saturday, in the semi-final of the Campeonato Carioca.
Referee Wagner do Nascimento Magalhães reported the case on the scoresheet. The classic ended in a 0-0 draw at Maracanã:
"I inform you that in the 43rd minute of the second half, the Flamengo Clube de Regatas fans sang a homophobic song for 50 seconds in provocation to the Flamengo fans. Fluminense FC. It is worth noting that the stadium administration issued an educational message on the stadium's screens at the time the chant was taking place", says the report.
The music to which the report refers uses the Following words: "What a joke this tricolor, powder-coated v... puts on makeup and gives the c... afterwards". The fans sang once and shortly afterwards the stadium's big screen alerted them to the lyrics of the song.
Flamengo was denounced under article 243-G of the Brazilian Code of Sports Justice (CBJD). The trial has yet to be scheduled. The club can be punished with a fine of R$ 100 to R$ 100 thousand.

Flamengo and Giorgian De Arrascaeta are close to sealing a new contract agreement . Talks resumed in recent weeks, and new meetings are expected to take place during the FIFA World Cup break, with the aim of finalizing the details of a renewal until December 2028, with an automatic extension until 2029 subject to performance targets. This information was provided by the 'GE' portal.
The number 10 is currently under contract with the club until the end of 2026, but he has publicly expressed his desire to stay longer. Initially, the board saw no need to bring forward the negotiations , but their stance has changed given the Uruguayan's prominence, as he is enjoying his highest-scoring season since joining Flamengo in 2019.
Flamengo has already received the midfielder's salary expectations and has continued the talks that began in February, which had been interrupted in May. Negotiations are being led by executive director José Boto and businessman Daniel Fonseca , a former Uruguayan international who has been responsible for Arrascaeta's career.
