Flamengo faced Internacional on Saturday night (26), in a match valid for the 21st round of the Brazilian Championship. After the team was only tied, fans who attended Maracanã booed and cursed the players and managers of Rubro Negro. One of the main targets was president Rodolfo Landim.
However, a Rubro Negro fan accuses a club security guard of intimidating the Maracanã boxes. In audios that circulate in WhatsApp groups, the fan says that the security guard tried to contain the protest against Rodolfo Landim.
According to Rubro Negro, he and his father watched the game and started to protest against the representative in due to the bad moment experienced by the club. He says that at that moment the security would have gone beyond the boxes and asked to reduce the tones of the collection, in addition to being close to the fans.
“During the break of the game, my father told Landim that he was president of the club do Leblon, and Landim came back and stared at my father. Flamengo’s security guard went to our box and said: ‘ask this guy to hold his wave’…. Theoretically, you can't go past other people's cabins, but the security guard came. Then the other cabins started to protest.”
The leaders of Rubro Negro left Maracanã without giving interviews. After yet another embarrassment for the team, the club vetoed interviews with athletes in the mixed zone. Only Everton Ribeiro and coach Jorge Sampaoli granted interviews.
