The president of Flamengo, Rodolfo Landim, revealed in an interview this past Monday (22) Mais Querido's plan to buy a club in Europe. Without going into details, the red-black president said he was in an advanced process to buy Leixões, from Portugal. However, after the director's statement, the Portuguese fans were not happy and held a series of protests this Tuesday (26).

Landim's statements about the purchase of Leixões left the Portuguese club's fans enraged. Thus, some fans went to the front of the team's headquarters to protest against a possible SAD (Sociedade Anônima Desportiva).

"Tired of bad faith. SAD and Flamengo put their foot down!"

" They are transforming the club that your family taught you to love into a satellite!"

"Zero independence, less identity, more promiscuity... No to multi-ownership!", were some phrases quoted in posters made by Leixões fans.

Carlinhos' performance in the last classic between Flamengoand Vasco, played on Sunday, has generated a wave of criticism and questions from the red and black fans. The striker, who entered the field in the 18th minute of the second half, replacing Bruno Henrique, played a discreet role and ended up failing to help the team in one of the most decisive moments of the match.

The classic, as always, was a game intense and highly anticipated by both fans, with great weight for the championship table and the morale of the teams. However, Carlinhos' entry, which lasted just 27 minutes, was considered below expectations, especially in a scenario where Flamengo was looking for a victory to distance itself from its rivals.

FLAMENGO HAS A DEFICIENCY IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP < /b>

During the 27 minutes he was on the field, Carlinhos barely appeared, failing to influence the game as expected. The player only touched the ball a few times, did not create clear scoring chances and also did not help efficiently in the defensive system. With an apathetic performance, the striker ended up becoming a target of frustration for the fans, who expected more from a player who, at other times, had already demonstrated the potential to be decisive.

The lack of offensive participation was a of the main points raised by critics. In a game that required creativity and boldness to break through the Vasco blockade, Carlinhos was unable to find spaces or impose his presence as a constant threat to the opponent's goal. In classics, where every detail makes a difference, this lack of protagonism weighed even more.

The replacement of Bruno Henrique by Carlinhoswas also a factor that generated discussion. Bruno Henrique, although he was not having a brilliant performance, is a player recognized for his ability to decide games, especially in big confrontations. His departure 18 minutes into the second half was justified by the coaching staff as part of the planning to spare the athlete, who recently returned from injury.

After taking charge of Flamengo, Tite, former coach of the Brazilian national team, made it clear that he is quickly adapting to the club's culture. In recent statements, he highlighted Rubro-Negro's striking characteristic: the incessant search for all possible titles. According to the coach, this spirit of intense competition is something that he not only admires, but is also incorporating into his own work philosophy.

Tite, known for his meticulous and results-focused work, revealed that the Transition to Flamengo involves constant learning, especially in relation to the club's winning mentality. "Flamengo has this culture of fighting for every title. There is no focus on just one competition, the goal is to win everything within reach", he explained.

THE COACH WANTS A COMPETITIVE STYLE

This characteristic is notable in Flamengoin recent years, which has won several important competitions, such as the Brazilian Championship and the Copa Libertadores. Tite, accustomed to pressure and the need for results, states that this mentality is something he is adopting in his day-to-day life at the club. “I see this culture, and this is what we are doing. Flamengo has this requirement, and I am a coach who likes this type of challenge.”

Although Tite has an established career, with successful spells at clubs such as Corinthians and the Brazilian national team, Flamengo represents a new experience for the coach. He is now at the helm of a team that has traditionally had fans calling for victories in every competition they compete in, something he sees as a positive challenge.

"You have to learn every day Even with the experience I have, here I realize that there are very high expectations, but at the same time that's what makes you grow", commented the coach. For him, working at a club that maintains such a high level of demand motivates him to always seek the best.

This past Monday (29) Leixões, from Portugal's second division, held a session to clarify doubts for members and fans. The main topic was the possible purchase of Flamengo, which is interested in transforming the Portuguese club into a Sports Anonymous Society (SAD). Thus, there was acceptance from most of those present, but with conditions and the first was: that the club's identity would not be changed.

First of all, Flamengo does not intend to change the Leixões shield. However, the Portuguese team must adhere to red and black colors in the main uniform. Mais Querido intends to have around 56% of the European team, part of which belongs to the company Playfair, which is experiencing financial problems. Thus, Rubro-Negro will be able to decide on the teams: main, team B (young people up to 21 years old) and also the under-23s.

The youth categories, women's football and nine other sports remain under the responsibility of Leixões. Even with advanced negotiations, as the president of Mais Querido assured in a recent interview, the process still needs to be voted on by Flamengo's Deliberative Council.

REASON FOR INVESTMENT

O Mais Querido wants to have a Portuguese club to increase revenue by receiving in euros, a currency more valued than the real. Furthermore, the team wants to open more doors to the European market and create a showcase for young people transitioning from academy to professional. According to Rodolfo Landim, players who play in Europe are 20% more expensive than those from South America.

It is worth remembering that two Mais Querido players were recently signed by Leixões. Defender Gabriel Noga played for the Portuguese team on loan and recently transferred permanently. Furthermore, Werton was also sold for 1 million euros (R$5.8 million).
