In addition to all the tributes made during the week, star Adílio will once again be referenced by his people this Sunday. The greatest number 8 in Flamengo's history will have his image raised on a flag during the game with Palmeiras, at 4 pm, at Maracanã, in a duel valid for the Brazilian Championship.

After holding the wake inside the headquarters, the club understood that a tribute would also be necessary on the stage where Adílio gave great joy to the Flamengo fans.

At the stadium, he scored goals in the state final, Guanabara Cup and Brazilian Championship. Furthermore, he scored the fourth of the unforgettable 6-0 defeat at Botafogo, on November 8, 1981, in what became known as the “Revenge Game”.

In last Wednesday's game, Gerson, the current number 8, played with the name Adílio on his back. The rest of the team had a patch with the idol's face printed on the chest, between the shield and the sporting equipment supplier.

The patch remains on the shirt for the game with Palmeiras this Sunday. Adílio died on Monday, aged 68, a victim of pancreatic cancer.

One of the great flags of red and black history, Adílio is the third player who wore the Flamengo shirt the most, with 617 matches. He scored 129 goals and won every title possible during his time at his favorite club.
