On Sunday night (22), Flamengo faces Grêmio, in the 27th round of the Brasileirão. Mais Querido has not been performing well in the competition, as it comes from a defeat and a draw. In this way, Tite will try to make the team perform as expected to leave with three points from Porto Alegre.

For the confrontation, coach Tite decided to preserve 12 players. They are: Rossi, Varela, Fabrício Bruno, Léo Pereira, Alex Sandro, Erick Pulgar, Léo Ortiz, De la Cruz, Arrascaeta, Plata, Gerson and Bruno Henrique. Thus, the coach will send a reserve team.

Flamengo has not performed below expectations for the red and black fans and for those who follow the club's daily life. Not only Tite's choices, but also the sequence of injuries, wear, tight schedule, drop in production of some athletes and the board's choices have reflected in the team's performance on the field. Thus, journalist Fernando Campos, from ESPN, commented on the events this past Friday (20).

Donan spoke about Flamengo's performance in the defeat to Peñarol, last Thursday (19) , in the first leg of the Libertadores quarter-finals and also highlighted the relationship between Tite and the red and black fans.

“A very bad performance from Flamengo, in every sense. I think the relationship between Tite and the red and black fans never strengthened. There was always resistance; his history at Corinthians, wear and tear during his time with the Brazilian national team, type of game... he never, in fact, managed to mold himself into Flamengo's game DNA”, began the journalist.

TITE IS NOT THE BIGGEST BLAME FOR FLAMENGO'S PHASE

In his speech, the commentator highlighted that he doesn't think Tite is the biggest culprit for Flamengo's current phase. He highlights that the blame should be distributed among all the club's football departments.

“It's a job that, for me, has been regressing. Flamengo's big problem is not Tite. If there is something wrong every year, the big problem is not the technician; this responsibility needs to be shared. Management, Medical Department, Tite, players... but the performance itself (was bad), even with the absences. Flamengo had a lot of possession and didn't create. Without approaching, without connecting, without the enveloping play, without triangulation, he exaggerated a lot with crosses; a cast of millions with the quality of Gerson, Arrascaeta, Plata, Bruno Henrique, Alex Sandro […} he should play more“, he pointed out.

FOCUS ON THE NEXT GAME

Flamengo faces Grêmio this Sunday (22), in the 27th round of the Brasileirão. Rubro-Negro needs the victory to be able to close the gap on the top three and try to get back into the fight for the title. The match will be at 6:30 pm, in Porto Alegre.

Flamengo entered the decisive phase of the season, with important games in sight. One of the most crucial commitments is the clash against Peñarol (URU), next Thursday (26), for the Libertadores da América. To motivate the squad, organized fans planned a demonstration of support at CT Ninho do Urubu, scheduled for this Sunday (22).

Anderson Macula, president of Torcida Organizada "Raça Rubro-Negra", announced on the networks social events that fans will gather in front of Ninho do Urubu at 7:30 am (Brasília time). According to the leader, the objective is to offer moral support to players before decisive duels. The meeting will take place this Sunday, as on Monday (23) the members of the fans will travel to Uruguay.

“Speak, Nação Rubro-Negra. Tomorrow is the day of unconditional support. Raça Rubro-Negra and our sisters will be at 7:30 am at Ninho to support our group that will go to Uruguay on Thursday to bring the classification. Our bus is already rented. We will leave Rio on Monday night. We will never abandon. We will be together to bring the classification. Together, we are stronger”, said Anderson, in a post on Instagram.

< b>Starting team spared against Grêmio

This Sunday (22), Flamengo faces Grêmio for the Brazilian Championship, but, with an eye on the decision against Peñarol, the technical committee opted to spare the starters. Thus, the main players remained in Rio de Janeiro to train at CT Ninho do Urubu during the morning, while the alternative team traveled to Porto Alegre.

Flamengo in the Libertadores

With the support fans, Flamengo focuses on reversing the negative result suffered in the first game against Peñarol, when they lost 1-0 in the Maracanã. To advance to the semifinals, Rubro-Negro needs to win in Uruguay by two or more goals difference. If the score is 1-0, the place will be decided on penalties. Any victory for Peñarol eliminates Mais Querido from the competition.

Before that...

Before the decisive clash in the Libertadores, Flamengo takes the field with a reserve team this Sunday (22), at 6:30 pm (Brasília time), in Porto Alegre, to face Grêmio in the Brasileirão.
