This Sunday (15), Flamengo and Vasco will face each other at 6:30 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã, in a match valid for the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship. The classic will be broadcast live on the Premiere channel.
Mais Querido arrives at the clash motivated, after securing a place in the semi-finals of the Copa do Brasil by beating Bahia. Now, the team led by Tite focuses its efforts on the Brasileirão, seeking to maintain the good momentum and continue in the fight for the top places in the table, keeping the chance of winning the title alive.
According to journalist Venê Casagrande, Mais Querido should have a big absence against the Colina team, it is Arrascaeta, the star felt physical wear and tear and should give way to Gonzalo Plata. With this, Gerson would become the team's point guard in the classic.
For the duel, Mengão will have three changes compared to the last game. On the flanks, Varela replaces Wesley on the right, while Alex Sandro will make his debut, replacing Ayrton Lucas on the left flank.
In addition, Erick Pulgar returns to the starting lineup in place of Everton Araújo, who will remain on the bench next to Allan. In the offensive sector, the formation will be maintained, with Bruno Henrique acting as false 9, ensuring stability in the attack.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. "The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that the athlete Gabriel Barbosa underwent tests that did not diagnose an injury to the posterior muscle of his right thigh. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."

In total, the two teams faced each other six times, with four victories for Peñarol, one draw and only one victory for Mengão. The last meeting took place in the group stage of the 2019 Libertadores, when Rubro-Negro was defeated 1-0 at Maracanã and drew goalless in the second game, in Montevideo.
