Flamengo lost a great player for the remainder of the season: striker Pedro, who suffered a serious injury to his left knee. Thus, Mais Querido ended up being forced to keep an eye on the market in search of a replacement. However, the names mentioned so far are treated as "speculation and nothing concrete", according to Marcos Braz.

Mais Querido's vice-president of football followed the under-17 match against Madureira and gave an interview during halftime of the game for FlaTV. The manager explained the situation in the search for a replacement part for Pedro and made a point of making clear the difficulty of finding quality names.

“Now the window is practically over, and the restrictions are enormous for you to make a hire. For you to make a signing after the window closes, you can only do so if the player has been released before the start of the window, if he is already out of contract. And when you analyze this, there are very few players who are without a contract, and you understand that these can actually solve your problem”, analyzed the club's football vice.

MARCOS BRAZ SPEAKS THAT THERE ARE A LOT OF SPECULATIONS

The red-black leader concluded by talking about the speculation of names linked to Mais Querido in recent days: “There is a lot of speculation, we haven't even finished introducing the players yet that we hire. On Monday (9), we will present Plata“, declared Marcos Braz.

PECULATED NAMES

Since Pedro's injury was announced, Names like Martial and Memphis Depay, who signed with Corinthians, were two of the strongest in speculation, however, nothing concrete. In addition to these players, Choupo-Mouting and Jovetic were others speculated.

The 2024 season is being a milestone in Flamengo's history, not only due to its results in competitions, but also due to administrative and structural advances. Flamengo made official the purchase of the Gasologista land, in the Port Zone of Rio de Janeiro, which will house the future home of Mais Querido.

The acquisition of the Gasologista land is considered one of the greatest achievements of the current administration. With this initiative, Flamengo is moving forward in consolidating its own stadium, something that has been discussed for years.

RODOLFO LANDIM AT FLAMENGO IN 2025

In addition to structural advances, Rodolfo Landim's tenure, which ends at the end of 2024, is marked by achievements both on and off the pitch. However, the club's current president should continue to play an important role at Flamengo in the coming years.

In addition to sporting successes, the management stood out for its modernization initiatives and financial growth of the club, which culminated in the purchase of land for the stadium and administrative reorganization.
