A new feature added to the club's statute at the end of last year will be put into practice. In the presidential elections of the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, which will be held on December 9, a Monday, which caused internal controversies< /a>, electronic voting machines will be available for members to cast their votes.

This possibility had been added to the club's statutes last year, along with the change in the voting system where the tickets were represented by colors will now be assigned a number. However, the use of electronic ballot boxes, although accepted, was optional, and would be the responsibility of the president of the General Assembly Carlos Henrique Fernandes, responsible for organizing the elections at the Club.

The ballot boxes will be provided by the Regional Court Rio de Janeiro Electoral Station (TRE-RJ) for free. According to journalist Lauro Jardim, in his column in “O Globo”, the equipment will be the same used in the municipal elections that will take place in October this year.

Unlike national elections, the electronic voting machines used in the club will ensure printed proof of voting results. The measure aims to bring agility to the red-black electoral system and speed up the vote counting process. In the last election, second place was decided by just one vote.

The elections in Flamengo remain busy with more and more pre-candidates entering the election. At the moment, there are six who have put themselves in the position of succeeding Rodolfo Landim at the end of his term. They are: Rodrigo Dunshee, current candidate, Luiz Eduardo Baptista, Bap, Maurício Gomes de Mattos, Wallim Vasconcelos, Pedro Paulo and José Carlos Peruano. The deadline for registration of tickets will be between the 10th and 30th of September.

One of the greatest idols in Flamengo's history, Zico revealed the candidate he will support in the Rubro-Negro presidential elections: Luiz Eduado Baptista (Bap). Galinho recorded a video this Monday (2) to justify his support for the candidate. According to the Mais Querido idol, an event that occurred 14 years ago was fundamental in his choice.

" One of the words I have with me is gratitude. One of the people who made me have this gratitude is called BAP , who is now a candidate for president of Flamengo. During a difficult, complicated moment that happened to me in 2010 at Flamengo, he was always by my side and kept his word until the end. I always tell him this: gratitude is something that I take with me. with me, and I will always be grateful for you. Besides, of course, the competence, the seriousness, the professionalism, the real man who arrives and often says what you don't want to hear", began Zico.

"But what can, can. And what can't, can't. Since 2012, when he joined Flamengo, Flamengo is different. With his help, of course, with an important team, but he was important for Flamengo to be what it is today. That's why I'm with him. I have other friends in other candidates, but BAP is ahead. That's why I'm going to support him a lot and I'll be there for him to be elected president of Flamengo." , added Galinho.

FACT THAT ZICO TOOK INTO CONSIDERATION

At the time, in 2010, the then Mais Querido partner Leonardo Ribeiro stated that the contract concluded between Rubro-Negro and Centro de Futebol Zico would be harmful to the club's interests. According to Captain Léo, players who were from CFZ started to reach Flamengo's youth categories, gaining more space than those who were already at Ninho. The rights of these athletes were shared, leaving 50$ for the club.

Thus, due to the accusation, Zico filed a lawsuit against Leonardo Ribeiro. After Galinho's attitude, the former partner retreated and said he was misunderstood. It is worth remembering that in 2010, Mais Querido's idol was the club's football director and, according to the video, he had the support of BAP.
