Flamengo fans will fill the Maracanã to support the team heading into the first leg of the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil against Palmeiras. In three days, red and black people bought around 48 thousand tickets for the first clash with the São Paulo team, this Wednesday (31), at 8 pm, and there are only two sectors left available.

O Flamengo's official sales website informs that four sectors are already sold out for departure: North, Lower and Upper East and Lower West. This way, there are only entrances left for Setor Sul and Maracanã Mais. The information on the 48 thousand tickets sold was first published by the channel 'Paparazzo Rubro-Negro'.

The prices for the South Sector are R$ 90 (full price) and R$ 45 (half price), while for Maracanã Mais they cost R$700 or R$387.50. It is worth remembering that fan members have a discount of up to 50% on the half-price ticket, depending on the plan.

The expectation is that the remaining tickets will sell out soon and more than 60 thousand rubro-negros be at Maracanã to push Flamengo in the match. Game that will break the Copa do Brasil 2024 attendance record.

The 48 thousand tickets sold until the morning of this Monday (29) already guarantee the tournament record. The brand currently belongs to the Corinthians x América-RN game in the third phase, which had 39,355 attendees (39,108 paying) at the Neo Química Arena.

Flamengo begins preparations to face Palmeiras

After the victory over Atlético-GO, the red and black squad returns this Monday focused on the Copa do Brasil clash. Coach Tite will have two training sessions to prepare the team and still needs to know if he will be able to count on the full squad.

The players who were starters will do regenerative work in the CT, while reserves will work on the field with the technical committee. Bruno Henrique and De La Cruz, absent due to physical problems, are continuing their recovery to be available against Palmeiras.

The attacker is a doubt, as he is still recovering from a sprained ankle. On the other hand, despite Tite stating that De La Cruz “was not in any condition” to play this Sunday due to pain in his tendons, the expectation is that he will be among those selected for the Copa do Brasil.

Grêmio and Flamengo if face each other, this Sunday (22), in the 27th round of the Brasileirão. While Rubro-Negro is focusing on the Libertadores, the tricolor from Rio Grande do Sul is preparing to face Mais Querido. For the match at Arena do Grêmio, at 6:30 pm, Renato Portaluppi's team must have a new defense duo; Kannemann and Jemerson.

The two players have already played together on two occasions, against Fluminense, in the round of 16 match of the Libertadores, and against Vasco, in the Brasileirão. However, Grêmio played in a tactical scheme with three defenders, with Rodrigo Ely completing the defensive trio. The defender must be absent after an injury suffered at the beginning of the month. Kannemann returns to the team after serving his suspension.

Gustavo Martins also returns for the same reason, and should remain on the bench. Natã, Geromel and former Flamengo player Rodrigo Caio are also defensive options for the team from Rio Grande do Sul.

Renato Gaúcho will not be present in the clash between Grêmio and Flamengo

Grêmio coach, Renato Gaúcho, will not be on the side of the pitch for the game against Flamengo. This is because the coach was punished with a four-match suspension, after leaving the field before the final whistle, in the 4th round of the Brazilian Championship, against Bahia. The sentence was even greater, as Renato ordered the players to repeat the action.

With this, the assistant, Alexandre Mendes, will be in charge of the team against Rubro-Negro. In the first round, Flamengo won 2-1, with two goals from Luiz Araújo, in June. Mengão was leading the competition. Currently, Rubro-Negro occupies fourth place, with 44 points in 24 matches. The team from Rio Grande do Sul is 15th, with 27 points from 23 games.
