Diogo Lemos, member of the Flamengo Council, took to social media this Saturday (18), to address some pertinent topics in this final stretch of the year. He said that the dream of his own stadium is "getting closer" to being realized and took the opportunity to poke at the transparency of the SAFs and praised the current management of Rubro Negro.
"We are, today, increasingly closer to the possibility of realizing the dream of its own stadium, without compromising the investment power and financial and operational health of Flamengo. It is very important to understand the moment the club is going through and the importance of football management in this context", wrote Diogo, on Twitter.
In the same publication, Diogo poked at the clubs that joined the SAFs, saying that there is a lack of transparency. This is because Flamengo published the quarterly balance sheet, breaking down the club's finances.
“Maintaining the recognized transparency — unlike some clubs and SAFs that do not transparently disclose their numbers —, Flamengo published, a few days ago, the balance sheet with its financial statements for the third quarter of 2023,” he continued.
Soon after extolling the administrative success, the director was proud to be part of the current management: “An honor to be part of the management of this historic period”, wrote the member of the Flamengo Football Council.

“Today, we are increasingly closer to the possibility of realizing the dream of our own stadium, without compromising Flamengo's investment power and financial and operational health. It is very important to understand the moment the club is going through and the importance of football management in this context.
Maintaining the recognized transparency (unlike some clubs and SAFs that do not disclose their numbers transparently), Flamengo published, a few days ago, the balance sheet with its financial statements for the third quarter of 2023. These are impressive numbers, with a growth of more than 25% in revenues compared to the same period in 2022, a year that was already a record, and with the lowest level of debt in its recent history.
Flamengo football, through the idolatry of acquired athletes* and significant achievements, has increasingly valued the club's brand and, together with the sale of rights of players, in addition to the prizes, was, once again, even in the year in which we did not obtain the sporting results expected so far, the main driver for another historic revenue record in the Americas.
In almost five years, football was paramount and preponderant for the club to double its recurring revenues and change its sporting level. This base, this consolidated work and this virtuous cycle of investment, achievements, brand appreciation, which feeds back on itself, allows us to work without dependence on TV rights, without the need for patrons, without being forced to give the majority investor the control of the club and, mainly, without anticipating future revenue. In other words, without taking the enormous financial risks that some clubs, practically bankrupt, are currently subjecting themselves to.
Stressing that this is only the accounting result until September this year, detail here the main lines of revenue, where only a team that generates a lot of engagement, takes a lot of people to the stadiums, gives a huge marketing return and a lot of audience, in addition to having a professional structure, which forms millions of reais in player assets every year, is capable of:< /p>
Athlete sales – R$282 million;
Sponsorships – R$242 million;
ST + Box Office – R$203 million;
p>Prizes – R$ 97 million;
TV – R$ 78 million.
Note: digital media and on-demand services were not considered, even though they are revenues indirectly linked to football and to the engagement it provides.
*Since 2019, the club has sold approximately R$1.2 billion in athletes and invested around R$1.0 billion, having a commercial balance of buying and selling positive by around R$ 200 million in the period, therefore not consuming other lines of revenue for acquiring players.
In the coming days, the Board of Directors, of which I am a member, will analyze and will take the budget for the next three years for approval, which football and other areas presented and defended with the finance department. The budget statement will certainly show that Flamengo has reached another level as a club and has consolidated itself as the biggest sports brand on the continent.
It is an honor to be part of the management of this historic period. We will continue working, improving our governance even further, always seeking to improve the best management practices, recognizing and trying to correct errors, which are inherent to football, trying to attract more and more commercial and strategic partners so that Flamengo is always at the top and continue to be a reference for others.”

O técnico Carlo Ancelotti precisou fazer uma alteração na lista da Seleção Brasileira após o amistoso contra a França. O lateral-direito Wesley foi cortado da convocação na última sexta-feira (27) depois de sofrer uma lesão muscular durante a derrota por 2 a 1.
Atualmente jogador da Roma, o ex-Flamengo passou por exames que confirmaram uma lesão no bíceps femoral da coxa direita. De acordo com o jornalista Nicolò Schira, o tempo estimado de recuperação é de aproximadamente um mês. Apesar da ausência momentânea, o problema não deve comprometer a presença do atleta na Copa do Mundo de 2026.

Atualmente servindo à Seleção Brasileira sob o comando de Carlo Ancelotti, o zagueiro Léo Pereira quebrou o silêncio sobre um dos momentos mais conturbados do Flamengo na temporada de 2026: a saída de Filipe Luís. O defensor, que se consolidou como uma das principais peças do elenco rubro-negro, descreveu o clima de incerteza que tomou conta do Ninho do Urubu no dia da demissão do ex-treinador.
Segundo o atleta, a decisão da diretoria, liderada pelo presidente Luiz Eduardo Baptista, o Bap, pegou todos de surpresa, interrompendo um ciclo que era visto como vitorioso por grande parte do grupo. Apesar do impacto inicial e do desabafo sobre o encerramento da passagem de Filipe Luís, Léo Pereira adotou uma postura resiliente e profissional.
Durante conversa com a TNT Sports, o defensor relatou que o anúncio da demissão ocorreu de forma inesperada.
