Flamengo, after the last match for the Campeonato Carioca against Portuguesa da Ilha, found itself facing a tempting offer from Estrela Amadora-POR for the young defender Diegão, who played a crucial role in the starting team. However, both the club and the athlete's representatives refused the offer.

Diegão, just 20 years old, remains linked to the Rio de Janeiro club until December 2024. His career at the club gained prominence with a significant fine upon his renewal at the end of 2019, reaching the figure of 70 million euros. Surprisingly, currently, its market value, according to Transfermarkt, reaches the impressive mark of 150 million euros.

The decision to reject Estrela Amadora-POR's proposal highlights Flamengo's confidence in the potential and promising future of the young defender. With a heated market, Diegão emerges as a valuable asset for the club, becoming the target of international interest. It is worth noting that, from the middle of the year, the athlete will have the prerogative to sign a pre-contract with any team, placing a new variable on the negotiating table. Flamengo, aware of this scenario, will face challenges to keep its defensive jewel under contract.

The red and black fans, always eager for good news, eagerly await the outcome of this contractual saga. The refusal of the million-dollar proposal demonstrates not only the club's firm stance, but also the strategic importance that Diegão assumes in the team's tactical gear.

Flamengo, known for its tradition of revealing talents, appears willing to invest in the potential of its young athletes. Diegão's stay, amid tempting offers, would symbolize not only the maintenance of a football promise, but also the continuity of a victorious tradition that makes the Red-Negra Nation vibrate. Let us therefore await the next chapters of this football narrative, in which Flamengo, faithful to its great history, seeks to keep the flames of red and black passion burning, resisting millionaire proposals for Diegão's promising future.

Flamengo faced Boavista this past Saturday afternoon (21), in the first game of the Carioca under-20 semi-final. The teams were only tied 1-1, in a game that took place at the Elcyr Resende de Mendonça Stadium, in Saquarema, Rio de Janeiro. Rubro-Negro opened the scoring in the 18th minute of the first half, with Guilherme Gomes.

MATCH SUMMARY

< Rubro-Negro had good chances created in the first, but ended up going into the break with a draw. At 18 minutes, Guilherme Gomes scored for Mais Querido. After a free kick, the ball was left inside the area and the number 10 pushed it into the net. The midfielder had already scored a goal against Boavista in the initial phase of the competition.

However, soon after, in the 23rd minute, Boavista managed to equalize the score. After a direct connection from the defense, Rivas, shirt 17, came face to face with Mais Querido's goalkeeper and scored the goal with a touch under Lucas Furtado's legs.

The second half started off balanced, with few chances for both teams. Boavista no longer had as much space to counterattack, creating no threat to Flamengo's goal. However, Mais Querido even created some opportunities, but had difficulty finishing the moves.

RETURN CONFRONTATION

Thus, seeking to qualify for the final of the Carioca Under-20 Championship, Mais Querido hosts Boavista in Gávea next Saturday (28), at 11am. If they advance, Rubro-Negro could face a classic, as Fluminense and Vasco are in the other group.

The transfer market in Brazilian football is always busy, especially with the emphasis given to the clubs' young promises. Recently, Vitória, a traditional Bahian club, was the protagonist of a negotiation that resulted in the loss of one of its young promises to one of the biggest clubs in the country, Flamengo. This is left-back Ainoã, 18 years old, who left the Bahian club after failing to reach an agreement to renew his contract, migrating to Flamengo in a negotiation that drew attention both for its details and for the circumstances that involved her.

Ainoã, left-back from the youth teams of Vitória, was seen as one of the players with great potential within the club. However, the young athlete had a contract with Vitória until March 2024, and negotiations for a renewal did not progress as expected. According to information initially released by the Arena Rubro-Negra website and later confirmed by ge, negotiations between Vitória's board of directors and the player did not reach a consensus. Faced with this situation, the Bahian club chose not to insist on renewal and agreed to release the player to Flamengo in advance, guaranteeing in exchange the maintenance of 30% of Ainoã's economic rights.

FLAMENGO KEEP NEW LATERAL

This strategic decision allowed Vitória to preserve part of the rights to the athlete, which could yield a financial return in a possible future sale by Flamengo. Although the departure of a young promise is never easy, this was a way for the Bahian club to minimize losses and still ensure a return in the event of the player's appreciation in the market.

Ainoã, despite being considered a promise of Vitória's youth categories, has a short trajectory in professional football. The left-back made his debut for the main team at the beginning of 2023, during a match in the last round of the Copa do Nordeste, against Campinense. On that occasion, Vitória was defeated and Ainoã entered the field until the 34th minute of the second half, when he was substituted. This was his only appearance for the professional team, which raises questions about why Flamengo, a large club, decided to invest in the player.
