According to Venê Casagrande, striker Petterson, currently away at Athletico Paranaense for disciplinary reasons, should not leave the club in this transfer window, which is scheduled to end today, at 7pm. Despite the efforts of its businessmen to negotiate a loan with Flamengo, the negotiations were unsuccessful due to contractual requirements imposed by the Rio de Janeiro club.

Among the conditions presented by Flamengo had the prerogative of being able to request the return of the athlete at any time, as well as the absence of a showcase fee in case of sale of the player during the loan period. Such clauses made negotiations complex and unfeasible for some interested teams, including Avaí, who chose not to proceed with the operation.

FLAMENGO DOESN'T WANT PETTERSON

As a result, Petterson will remain away at Athletico at least until the opening of the next transfer window in July. The red-black club even tried to return the player to Flamengo, however, the Rio club did not show interest in his repatriation, reiterating that, according to the signed contract, he is not obliged to accept such a return.

According to Flamengo sources, Petterson's current situation is a reflection of his attitudes off the field, characterized as slips, which have prevented any type of negotiation while the player remains away. It is important to highlight that the athlete's salary is being paid for by Athletico Paranaense during the loan period.

Given this scenario, Petterson's future remains uncertain, with his stay at Athletico being the only certainty so far. The expectation is that the situation will be re-evaluated in the next transfer window, when new negotiation opportunities may arise. Meanwhile, the player remains away, awaiting a decision on his fate in Brazilian football.
