At just 18 years old, Léo Nannetti took center stage in the U-20 World Cup final at the Maracanã Stadium. The goalkeeper's impeccable performance cemented Mengão's title, securing their second title in the intercontinental youth competition.
Before the ball rolled, Léo Nannetti said he received a special message from Agustín Rossi, the starting goalkeeper for the professional squad. The encouragement served as fuel for a great performance: " Rossi sent me a message before the game to reassure me. I was able to put into practice what he and the goalkeeping coach, André, had said. We did a very detailed study and, thank God, I was able to be decisive," he said.
