Coach Filipe Luís's darling, midfielder Evertton Araújo, is being targeted by European clubs and could boost Flamengo's coffers in the transfer window. He is another member of Flamengo's squad who has been attracting interest from clubs across Europe.
The 22-year-old has received inquiries from several European clubs in recent weeks, including Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany and Villarreal and Sevilla, both in Spain. People close to the youngster expect offers to be formalized soon.
Flamengo , meanwhile, is waiting for something concrete to assess Evertton Araújo's future. Despite receiving constant praise from Filipe Luís, competition in the midfielder's position has caused him to lose ground, making him play only once in the Club World Cup, against LAFC in the group stage.
The midfielder made the step up to Flamengo's first team in 2024. In total, he has made 47 appearances for the first team, scoring two goals. He has a contract with Flamengo until 2028, and as mentioned, he is a favorite of coach Filipe Luís, who has given him a significant amount of minutes this season.
