Flamengo advanced to end the purchase of Sociedade Anônima Desportiva (SAD) of Leixões, from Portugal. The club would take control of Play Fair, which currently owns 56.6% of the shares of the northern Portuguese club. The negotiation is worth around 10 million euros (R$ 60 million). Wallim Vasconcellos, pre-candidate for president of the red-black party, was against the idea.
A decision on the purchase of Leixões would necessarily have to go through the Club's Deliberative Council. According to Folha de S.Paulo, management's expectation was to complete the operation this Thursday (15). However, CoDe guarantees that no meetings will be held on the date in question. Counselor of Flamengo, Gil Barros corroborates the investigation on social media. Gil guarantees he has no idea about the process, appearing scared by the article published. “It can’t possibly be true. Flamengo did not confirm this transaction. There are 3 possibilities: 1) someone tricking Leixões; 2) someone cheating Flamengo or; 3) the press deceiving everyone”, wrote the advisor in Flamengo asked the President of CoDe, Antônio Alcides, to establish a commission of inquiry to confirm the purchase or advance of amounts. According to journalist Renan Moura, the objective is to investigate possible investments without prior approval from the board.
The members ask, if irregularities are found that violate the club's statute, that the Board of Directors punish those responsible and that there be a summit meeting to provide further explanations. Antônio Alcides, at first, refused to summon the directors because “nothing was received in this Council that concerns the statements made”, stated the president of CoDe.

The amendment was created after repeated interviews with President Rodolfo Landim announcing that he was in favor of the SAF to finance the construction of its own stadium. However, after receiving criticism, the agent changed his position and has stated that the home of Mais Querido will not need this management model.
AMENDMENTBefore the vote, the statute of Mais Querido there were no topics about SAF. With the change, a discussion in the Deliberative Council will be necessary so that the topic can come into force in the future, but with strict rules.
This is because, for the Society to be approved, the debate would have to go to the General Assembly and a minimum quorum of 60% of members with voting rights would be required. In other words, of the 6,124 members currently eligible, 3,675 would have to accept.
