After Record, YouTube and Amazon signed an agreement with Liga Forte União to broadcast the Brasileirão 2025, two more platforms showed interest in showing the competition's games: Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery. If they manage to close the deal, both will show the rounds on paid platforms.
According to journalist Gabriel Vaquer, Disney has priorities at the moment in relation to international tournament negotiations. After the dialogues, he will seek an agreement for the Brasileirão. Warner wants to expand the range of competitions through streaming Max, which currently has the rights to the Champions League and Paulistão.
To date, with negotiations concluded with Record, YouTube and Amazon for the rights to the Brasileirão, Liga Forte União has already secured R$900 million. In addition to Disney and Warner, Globo and DAZN are also considering sending proposals soon. The goal of the group's clubs is to raise R$1.7 billion from broadcast sales.
The following clubs are part of the Liga Forte União: Corinthians, Internacional, Cruzeiro, Fluminense, Vasco, Athletico-PR, Atlético-GO, Botafogo, Fortaleza, Cuiabá, Criciúma and Juventude are currently the representatives in Series A. Goiás, Sport, Ceará, Avaí, Chapecoense, Coritiba, CRB, Vila Nova, Londrina, Tombense, Figueirense, CSA and Operário-PR complete the block and are distributed between Series B and D.
Flamengo on the other side of historyFlamengo is part of Libra, along with Palmeiras and other clubs. This group of teams already has an agreement with Globo to broadcast the Brasileirão 2025 games.
