Xande de Pilares was one of the big winners of the 31st edition of the Brazilian Music Award, held on Wednesday night (12), at the Theatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro. The singer won the categories of “Best Performer” and “Best Samba Release” with his album "Xande Canta Caetano".
On social media, Xande expressed his joy. “Two awards in one night, can you believe it?” he wrote. "What a gift! I'm inexplicably happy!!!", he added.
In addition to Xande de Pilares, other artists stood out in the awards. IZA won Best Urban Music Performer, Anitta was awarded for Best Foreign Language Release, Maiara and Maraísa took the award for Best Duo in Popular/Sertanejo Song, and the group Revelação was chosen as Best Samba Group.
This year's ceremony paid tribute to the iconic singer Tim Maia. The artist's life and career were narrated by Regina Casé, presenter of the event. The celebration included performances of several songs by Tim Maia, performed by artists such as Simone, Ney Matogrosso, Toni Tornado, Negra Li, Sued Nunes, Iza, Rachel Reis and Melly.

The 31st edition of the Brazilian Music Award had a total of 12 thousand entries, resulting in 32 categories. Among the big winners, in addition to Xande de Pilares, Jards Macalé, Anitta and Iza stood out.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. "The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that the athlete Gabriel Barbosa underwent tests that did not diagnose an injury to the posterior muscle of his right thigh. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."
