The 2-1 defeat to Santos last Wednesday (01) left a bitter taste for Flamengo, but it was not the only unpleasant incident at the Mané Garrincha Stadium, in Brasília. Defender Fabrício Bruno was involved in an argument with a fan, making the night even more complicated for the red-and-black team from Rio. A video that circulated on social media showed Fabrício Bruno at the center of the controversy.

In the final minutes of the match, the defender asked Flamengo fans to stop throwing objects onto the field. However, his request was followed by a heated argument with a fan present at the stadium. The images captured the moment when Fabrício Bruno and other Flamengo players directed gestures towards the fans. The defender was trying to prevent cups and water bottles from being thrown onto the pitch.

However, one of the fans responded to the player, causing an intensification in the exchange of gestures and words. The act of throwing objects onto the field is unacceptable conduct in football and, in addition to negatively affecting the course of the game, can result in serious consequences for the club. Referee Rafael Rodrigo Klein, who took charge of the match, recorded the incident on the game's scoresheet, meaning that Flamengo could face punishment under Article 213 of the Brazilian Sports Code.

Article 213, in its sections III and § 1, it provides for sanctions ranging from fines of R$ 100 to R$ 100 thousand to losses of field control of one to up to ten matches, competitions or equivalent, when objects are thrown onto the field of play. The decision on the severity and extent of the punishment will depend on the assessment of the responsible sporting entity. The presence of dissatisfied fans and the attitudes of throwing objects by some of them are reasons for concern for Flamengo and the organization of football in general. The club will certainly seek to identify those responsible and will take internal measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

It is important to highlight that the passion of fans is a fundamental element of football, and the passionate support from the stands is what makes it the sport so special. However, this love must be expressed in a safe and respectful manner, ensuring the integrity of the players and the smooth running of matches.

Players, in turn, also have an important role in maintaining calm and respect in stadiums. Fabrício Bruno, in trying to contain the fans' negative attitude, demonstrated leadership and concern for the well-being of his teammates. However, the heated discussion that followed highlights the tension that can arise in situations like this.

In short, Flamengo's defeat to Santos was not the only negative development on Wednesday night. The incident of throwing objects and the argument between defender Fabrício Bruno and a fan are worrying and could result in punishments for the club. Mutual respect between players and fans is fundamental to preserving the integrity and magic of football, and the situation serves as a reminder that everyone involved in the sport must act in a responsible and respectful manner.

Friday (15) was marked by a press conference with Arrascaeta, at Ninho do Urubu. The Uruguayan midfielder made strong statements about the club's backstage and even repeated a famous phrase from Jorge Jesus, the Portuguese coach who marked an era at Flamengo.

Arrascaeta quotes Jorge Jesus: "Flamengo only loses to itself"

CRITICISM OF DESPERATE PROFESSIONALS

Without directly mentioning the coach, Arrascaeta emphasized that internal problems often harm the club's atmosphere . The Uruguayan also made it clear that he will always stand by his teammates in situations where unprepared professionals could harm them:

"I often tell my friends that Flamengo only loses to itself, because it's difficult to explain some of the things that happen here. Sometimes it's due to a lack of capacity from people who don't realize the size of the club or who aren't used to dealing with this pressure . But when you have experienced and respected players like Alex Sandro, Bruno, Nico, Viña, and so many others, the group becomes stronger," said the number 10.

"Whatever happens outside won't affect our squad. We'll always be together. When something happens to a teammate, we'll be here to help," Arrascaeta assured. The statement alludes to the controversy surrounding former doctor José Luiz Runco, who was fired after exposing details of De La Cruz's physical condition , claiming the Uruguayan was living with an irreversible chronic injury.

SUPPORT FOR DE LA CRUZ

At the time, Arrascaeta posted a photo alongside De La Cruz, accompanied by the message: " It's about taking care of our own. It's that simple ." The gesture was interpreted as a dig at the former professional, as well as a pat on the back for his club and national team friend.

Now, at the press conference, the number 10 reinforced the importance of squad unity in the face of external turbulence: "Regardless of who it is, Nico or another player, we have to be together. It's very difficult to stay focused on the field when these situations happen. But I've been here for six years and I know that Flamengo always experiences moments like this. Our role is to keep ourselves in the locker room so that this doesn't affect us, even though some situations are very difficult," he concluded.
