Botafogo-PB has begun restructuring its squad with an eye on the 2026 season. Out of the final phase of this year's Série C, the club announced a list of departures, and among the names is striker Henrique Dourado , formerly of Flamengo.
In an official statement last Monday (08), the club confirmed the departure of 13 players . In addition, it reported that midfielders Igor Maduro and Thallyson were loaned to Volta Redonda until the end of this season.
The striker played in two matches against Flamengo in the Copa do Brasil, in the third stage of the competition. The Rubro-Negro won both duels: 1-0 in the first leg and 4-2 in the return, scoring Belo's second goal , securing a spot in the quarterfinals.
Henrique Dourado arrived at Flamengo in 2018, after being the top scorer in the 2017 Brasileirão with Fluminense . His initial contract ran until 2021, but in 2019 he was sold to Henan Jianye, from China, in a deal worth approximately R$22 million.
While Dourado is free on the market, Flamengo remains firm in the season. The next commitment will be on Sunday (14), against Juventude, for the 23rd round of the Brasileirão . The match will be at Alfredo Jaconi, in Caxias do Sul, at 4 pm (Brasília time) and will be broadcast on Amazon Prime.
The athlete has not been used much by coach Filipe Luís, but he still has the coach's trust and will be used this Tuesday (10)

The final round of the South American Qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup will be played this Tuesday (09). Already qualified, Uruguay will face Chile at 8:30 pm (Brasília time) at the National Stadium in Santiago. Flamengo's full-back, Matías Viña, is expected to start the match among the starters.

Despite the player's importance, there is no rush in the process, with a decision expected in the coming weeks.
In Arrascaeta 's case, negotiations progressed after a start to the season marked by disagreements between the Uruguayan and executive director José Boto. The board worked to reestablish a good relationship with the player's agents , which should speed up negotiations. The midfielder's retention is considered a top priority by the club to maintain the team's core.
Unlike the priority duo, the cases of Rossi and Pedro will only be discussed next season. Both have contracts until the end of 2027, which gives Flamengo the flexibility to postpone negotiations . Midfielder Erick Pulgar left the field in the first half of Flamengo's 4-2 loss to Bayern Munich in the Club World Cup after suffering a new injury . The Chilean had already faced a similar problem earlier in his time at the club, which sidelined him for two months.
On the previous occasion, the return only occurred after about 60 days. This time, even after recent surgery that predicted a three-month absence, the scenario may be more positive. According to journalist José Tomás Fernández, the recovery may be accelerated .
