Last Tuesday, the candidate for re-election for mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, denied the journalist Ancelmo Gois, from Globo. In a post on Instagram, the mayor informed that the city hall will be responsible for removing the megastructure on the gas meter site, different from what was reported. Furthermore, he guaranteed that Flamengo will have its new stadium, with the best conditions and security.

The news published by Ancelmo informs that Flamengo would have to pay R$100 million to remove a large gas structure present on land acquired by the club, which is owned by CEG and CEG-Rio, which are companies that are part of the gas concessionaire Naturgy.

According to the article, the companies were informed that Flamengo is the responsible for bearing the expenses, as provided for in one of the annexes to the land purchase and transfer contract. The clause, however, does not have a specified limit.

“They are making me defend @flamengo more than I would like: let it be clear that this is not the The cost of this transfer and when it happens will be the responsibility of the city of Rio, which knows that this structure cannot be in an area that is already receiving so many residential buildings. It's been in our plans for a long time! Flamengo will have its new stadium there in the gasometer with all the quality and safety that the region demands and deserves. Period!”, published the mayor.

In the spotlight after the hard-fought victory against Botafogo, Léo Pereira, Flamengo's top-scoring defender, brought lightness and relaxation to the interview given to FlaTV, directly from Ninho do Urubu. Even in black and white, in respect for the five years since the tragedy at CT, the player's joy was present.

"At base I always scored a few goals, at Athletico I also had a season with many goals, now I'm coming back I think (laughs). We train the dead ball every pre-game, we know that the detail can make a difference. You have to be prepared, trained, so that when you have the opportunity you know what to do when attacking too", joked the defender about his scoring phase.

This last goal, his ninth with the red and black mantle, equaled his performance at Athletico-PR. And that's not all, it was his third against Botafogo, making him the biggest victim of his eye for goal this season. When asked about the Brazilian team, Léo Pereira did not hide his dream: "It's every Brazilian player's dream. I know (Dorival was at Maracanã).

I hope he saw it. Important game to show our characteristics , but I'm focused on Flamengo. If I do things well, I'm sure the call-up will come. I believe it will happen naturally. I'm happy with my performances and I have to work hard to make this dream come true."< /p>

Regarding the goal in the last breath of the match, Léo expressed his emotion: "Very big emotion. I believe we were waiting for this goal to happen. We were coming from a draw in which we deserved to win. It was a truncated game, with few opportunities, as all classics have been. We knew it would be decided in detail."

Ayrton Lucas' providential assistance was also highlighted: "I thanked him at the end of the game. A before I had already asked for this ball in the second stick because I would have the chance to head it. He was very happy with the crossing, I believe he has been improving this crossing. I practically didn't even move."

Regarding the team's below-expected performance, Léo Pereira asked the fans for understanding: "Fans have to understand that things don't always happen the way they and we want . Sometimes it has to be in the race. Flamengo is suffering until the end. We can never stop believing in what we want. We fought until the end and got the victory."

About the conversation with Tite, the defender highlighted the coach's vision and the importance of the mental aspect: "He is a very visionary and experienced guy in football. Everything he says is for our good, he usually highlights certain phases of the game. One of them I think was our mentality.

We would have liked to create more opportunities, but he always emphasized our mentality. I believe the team had the mental strength and managed to focus the 90 minutes on winning the victory. And it came." Finally, Léo Pereira celebrated the team's defensive solidity: "We have to highlight our defensive system, we haven't conceded goals. When we don't concede goals, we are much closer to victory because we have a very qualified attack."
