Flamengo secured qualification for the knockout stage of the 2025 Brazilian Women's Championship with three rounds to spare — and without even having to take to the field. With the defeat of Bragantino, the first team outside the qualifying zone, the Rubro-Negro can no longer be caught and advances to the next stage of the competition early .
The Rio de Janeiro team, which was left out of the second stage of the tournament in 2024 after finishing in ninth place, is once again among the top teams of the season. The recovery in the table has been highlighted especially after the arrival of coach Rosana Augusto, announced on April 22 of this year.
Since Rosana Augusto's arrival, Flamengo has performed impressively: they have won five games and only drawn one — against Cruzeiro, the current leader of the competition.
