FLAMENGO DELIBERATIVE COUNCIL APPROVES UNIFORMS FOR THE 2025 SEASON;CHECK

This last Friday (6), the Court banned most of PixBet's competitors from operating in Rio de Janeiro. Anatel (National Telecommunications Agency) complied with a TRF-1 decision and determined that internet operators block within the State the websites of all betting houses that do not have a Loterj license to operate in the city.

The sponsor Mais Querido's master, PixBet, is one of the five betting houses that have a license from Loterj to operate in Rio de Janeiro. Others that have already completed accreditation in the State are: Apostau RJ, BestBet, Majorsports and Rio Jogo.

The Federal Revenue is questioning the granting of a license given by Loterj. Because according to the IRS, Loterj, linked to the government of Rio, granted licenses that could only be for operation in the state, without any type of lock that allows it to operate throughout Brazil.

Flamengo recently renewed its contract with PixBet and it is now valid until 2027. Furthermore, the document states that the company must be regularized with the authorities or the contract may be terminated unilaterally by Mais Querido.

Remember that the amount received by Flamengo from PixBet is a fixed R$465 million, plus R$52 million in prizes for titles, which could increase considerably over the years.

This last Friday (5), Flamengo's vice-president of finance, Rodrigo Tostes, asked to leave his position and leadership of the club. The reason is the Mais Querido presidential elections, which take place at the end of the year.

Rodrigo will support Luiz Eduardo Baptista, Bap. Because Rodolfo Landim, current president, was supporting Rodrigo Dunshee, the VP of finance decided to resign from his role. The information was given by Gustavo Henrique "Dando Choque".

Thus, Rodolfo Landim will accumulate functions, In addition to the role of president of Flamengo, the president will be vice of finance until the end of the term, that is, until December 2024. Last Monday (24), the city hall of Rio de Janeiro published in the official gazette the decree expropriating the Gasometer land. Now, Flamengo's Deliberative Council (CoDe) will vote on the financial plan for the construction of its own stadium.

According to information from Uol Esporte, Flamengo's board of directors will take to the Deliberative Council the request for authorization to participate in the auction to purchase the Gasometer land. There, Mais Querido plans to build the club's own stadium.

It is worth mentioning that there is support from the main currents for the project. However, on the other hand, there are also doubts about financial details. Therefore, the Flamengo board intends to present the financial viability plan for the construction of the stadium to CoDe.

In fact, there is already a study ready on the subject. It is worth mentioning that the land for Gasometer belonged to a real estate fund managed by Caixa Econômica Federal. However, the property will now go to auction with conditions such as the construction of a stadium.

First of all, it is worth highlighting that the project Flamengo expects the stadium to be the largest in Brazil. This is because the idea is that the venue will have capacity for around 80 thousand fans. Furthermore, the Gasometer region is in the center of Rio, in front of the “Terminal Gentileza”.
