With the official opening of the second transfer window in Brazilian football this Thursday (10), Corinthians intensified the search for reinforcements, especially for the offensive sector. One name that emerged behind the scenes and is being carefully evaluated by the São Paulo board is that of Vitinho , former Flamengo striker.
The player, who was playing for Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia , recently terminated his contract and is available for negotiations. According to the Uol website, Vitinho was offered a contract to the São Paulo club and is one of the most highly regarded names for the winger role. However, Corinthians has yet to formalize an official offer to the player.
Signed by Flamengo in July 2018, Vitinho arrived as one of the Rio de Janeiro club's biggest prospects. To acquire the player, Flamengo shelled out €10 million, worth approximately R$44 million at the time , to sign him from CSKA Moscow in Russia.
During his time at the club, the striker played 215 matches and scored 29 goals. In addition to his performance on the field, Vitinho was an important player in successful campaigns that yielded several titles. Among his achievements are a Copa Libertadores da América, two Brazilian Championships, a Copa do Brasil, two Supercopas do Brasil, a Recopa Sul-Americana and three Campeonato Carioca titles.
While Corinthians analyzes potential reinforcements, Flamengo is also making moves behind the scenes in the transfer market. For the new transfer window, the Flamengo board has established two priorities: the arrival of a creative midfielder who can alternate with Arrascaeta, and a fast striker, preferably right-footed, with the dribbling skills to play on the right side of the field.

On Thursday afternoon (31), Flamengo Women faced Fortaleza at Presidente Vargas Stadium, in Fortaleza (CE), for the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship. The score ended 0-0 after 90 minutes of balance and intense marking , keeping the dispute for a place in the semifinals of the competition open. The first half was marked by intense midfield battles and few clear-cut scoring opportunities. Despite their technically demanding efforts, Mais Querido struggled against the home team's strong marking.

Flamengo lost 1-0 to Atlético-MG this Thursday (1st) at Maracanã in the first leg of the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil. Despite the negative result, coach Filipe Luís believes the match remains open and that Flamengo is fully capable of seeking qualification away from home. When asked about the absence of some important names in the match, the commander explained that the decision to rest players was made strategically , taking into account the physical wear and tear and the tactical fit thought out for the Flamengo match.
"It was a plan in which I decided on the players. None of them had been ruled out, but I believe that given their current run of form, it wouldn't be wise to play them today and Sunday as well.
