BASE STAR CELEBRATES FLAMENGO'S VICTORY AT THE PREMIERE OF THE COPA RIO AND RIPS COMPLIMENTS TO FILIPE LUÍS

Last Saturday (9), the Flamengo debuted in the Copa Rio under-17 with victory. Thus, one of the highlights of the match was João Camargo, scorer of one of Mais Queridoin the 5-1 rout of Cabofriense. The clash also marked the official debut of Filipe Luís as coach of Rubro Negro. After the game, the striker spoke about the goal scored and praised the arrival of the new coach.

“Very happy to start the season by scoring. It's always important to be scoring goals and contributing to victory, even more so in the team's debut. Good to gain confidence at the beginning of the work and go more calmly into the next games”, he declared, before concluding:

“The arrival of Filipe Luís is being very good for the whole team. He brings us a lot of confidence and we all know that he has been through it all, he had an established career, playing in the World Cup, the Champions League final and the Libertadores. Since he arrived he has helped all the players here and I hope it will be a journey of great achievement for all of us”, highlighted Camargo.

IMPORTANCE OF STARTING THE COMPETITION WITH A VICTORY

Flamengo beat Cabofriense 5-1 at the Almirante Adalberto Nunes Physical Education Center (CEFAN). After Mais Querido's first triumph in the Copa Rio, João Camargo spoke about the benefits of starting the competition with a victory.

Winning is always important and in the debut it is even more so. The team is already starting the championship in a different way, with more confidence, especially given the score it was. Congratulations to the group for the game they played, everyone did very well and this is essential for the start of their work. But we can't celebrate too much, we have to work hard because on Saturday we already have another battle ahead”, he concluded.

FLAMENGO'S NEXT MATCH

After winning the first match with the right to a rout , the squad led by Filipe Luís prepares for their next appointment. Next Saturday (16), Garotos do Ninho returns to the field to face Volta Redonda, in the second round of the Copa Rio. The game will be at 1 pm, in Gávea.

In a match valid for the fourth round of the Carioca Women's Under-20 Championship, Flamengo defeated Serrano 20-0, this Saturday afternoon (14), in Gávea. Ingrid (4), Ana Papel, Maria Peck (2), Cecília, Anna Luiza (3), Alice, Leane (4), Duda Detori, Letícia Pinho (2) and Isabela Nunes scored Mengão's goals.

The game

The match had barely started and Flamengo opened the scoring after just two minutes. Isabela Nunes crossed into the area, Anna Luiza set it up for Ingrid to hit the goalkeeper: 1 to 0.


The red-black team continued to control possession of the ball and scored the second after seven minutes. Ana Papel caught the ball beautifully and hit the angle, with no chance for the goalkeeper: 2-0. Soon after, it was Maria Peck's turn to take a risk from distance and score the third goal of the match after just nine minutes.

The Meninas da Gávea didn't let up and expanded at 12'. Ingrid took advantage of the cross in the area to move the goalkeeper and score the fourth. Six minutes later, Mais Querido scored the fifth with Cecília, with a header: 5 to 0.


After the fifth goal, Cecília asked to leave and gave way to Gaby Bastos. Despite the large advantage on the scoreboard, Mengão went up in search of more. At 29', Ana Papel made a great move and passed the ball for her namesake Anna Luiza to cover: 6 to 0.

Serrano barely gave away the ball and the red-blacks scored the seventh of the match with another great goal from Anna Luiza from outside the area, also through coverage: 7 to 0.


To give final numbers to the first stage, Meninas da Gávea found the net four more times, with Alice, Ingrid (2 ) and Maria Peck. Rubro-Negro went into the break with an 11-0 lead. Highlight for striker Ingrid, who scored four times.

On the way back to the second half, Leane received the ball alone in the area and touched it low into the corner to make it 12-0. At 9', Anna Luiza entered the area alone and hit it into the goalkeeper's right corner: 13 to 0. It was shirt 10's hat-trick in the game.

As Meninas da Gávea didn't slow down and expanded in the 14th minute. Anna Luiza played the ball to Alice, who provided a beautiful light screen for Leane to reach with a cross: 14 to 0. Seven minutes later, Leane again entered the area alone and scored another hat-trick in the match: 15 to 0.

Right-winger Leane came into the match with everything and scored her fourth goal in the 37th minute. After taking off, she dribbled past the goalkeeper and scored the 16th goal. Then, Duda Detori further extends the advantage with a penalty kick: 17 to 0.

In the last minutes, Meninas da Gávea scored three more goals to give final figures to the rout. Letícia Pinho (twice) and Isabela Nunes completed the scoring in the great 20-0 victory.

Next appointment

The Meninas da Gávea return to the field next Saturday (14) to face Botafogo, at 2:45 pm, at the Nilton Santos stadium, in the last round of the Carioca Feminino U20.

Playing at home, at CT das Vargens, Flamengo defeated União Central, 2-1, this Thursday, in the Guilherme Embry Under-16 Tournament. The red and black goals were scored by Victor Hugo, the highlight of the match. The next game for Garotos do Ninho will take place on Sunday (22), when they will face Botafogo, away from home. The goals:

At 10 of the second half, on a free kick from Rogério, the goalkeeper rebounded, and Victor Hugo put it into the back of the net: 1 to 0. After taking the draw before the technical timeout, Mengão didn't take long to get back in front on the scoreboard , with Victor Hugo once again.

Filipe Luís is about to make his first classic in charge of Flamengo. The new commander of the U17 team Mais Queridoprepares the team for the match against Botafogo, on April 6th. Thus, the coach will have 14 days to train the team for the game.

CHANGES IN THE CALENDAR AND POSTPONENT OF ANOTHER CLASSIC

Previously, the Flamengo was going to face Vasco this weekend, however, FERJ postponed the game until May 1st. This is because heavy rains were forecast for Rio de Janeiro. Therefore, the city hall declared a state of alert and attention. Last Friday (23), for example, the day became optional and many schools did not have classes.

The matches are valid for the Copa Rio Sub-17, the first competition that Filipe Luís competes in as coach of the under-17s of Rubro Negro. The former player will have a great mission, as he will try to defend the title won by the team in 2023.

FERJ RESCHEDULES OTHER FLAMENGO MATCHES

In addition to rescheduling the match of the sub- 17, FERJ also rescheduled other Flamengo under-15 and under-20 games, all for the Copa Rio. Highlighting that the teams would take to the field this weekend.

Now, for the under-20 , Flamengo x Madureira will face each other next Wednesday (27), at 10am. The under-15s would also face Vasco, but the match was rescheduled for May 1st, at 9:00 am.
