Among the 40 elite Brazilian football clubs, 32 are sponsored by bookmakers. And look, the number was even higher until Friday, when Bahia announced the break with Esportes da Sorte. Even so, the Salvador team plays its games at the Arena Fonte Nova, which has the naming rights of Casa de Aposta.

Raphael Paçó Barbieri, who is a specialist in sports law and partner at CCLA Advogados, follows a similar line and adds that regularization from 2025 onwards, they make sponsors more controlled.
"The space that bets play in sports sponsorships plays a fundamental role in club revenues, and with regulation, the tendency is for this market to become even more segmented, serious and transparent in the relationship with all parties involved, creating an even more conducive environment for these investments," he added.
The owners bookmakers also see football as the perfect opportunity to combine exposure directly with the business. Many of them understand that this large injection of money helps with the high values that are being moved in this window.
"The positive impact that sports betting companies have had on the national and international football scene is visible. In Brazil, for example, club investments have increased, the level of signings is higher, and all of this is reflected within field and in the relationship with the fans. In Europe, the movement is even more traditional than here, as many countries have been regulated for longer than that because of betting," highlights Vinicius. After a title-winning stint in Flamengo's youth academy , Felipe Teresa is Palmeiras' newest signing . The 19-year-old forward terminated his contract with Flamengo at the end of September and signed a two-year deal with the São Paulo club, which will retain 80% of his economic rights.
