The Flamengo faced Corinthians this Saturday afternoon (11), in the sixth round of the Brasileirão and won by a score of 2-0. After the confrontation, the club's vice-president of football, Marcos Braz , passed the responsibility of being called up to the Brazilian National Team onto the players. Remembering that Dorival Júnior announced the 23 names for the Copa América last Friday (10) and did not call anyone from Mais Querido.

“Problems with players who were not called up”, said Marcos Braz, when asked about the lack of names of Mais Querido players on Dorival Júnior's final list for the Copa América.

DID FLAMENGO DO WELL?

The expectation was that some players from Flamengo were called up. This is because Ayrton Lucas and Fabrício Bruno were called up in the last squad for the friendlies against England and Spain. Furthermore, it was expected that Léo Pereira could receive an opportunity.

However, this was feared by Tite and the Rubro-Negro, became a relief. This is because Dorival Júnior did not call anyone from Mais Querido to represent Brazil in the Copa América. Remembering that Flamengo would have to play the Brasileirão with many absences, as the CBF will not paralyze the competition.

RISK OF HAVING OTHER NAMES CALLED UP

Despite not having any representative in the Brazilian team, Flamengo still runs the risk of losing five players during the Copa América. This is because Arrascaeta, Viña, Varela and De La Cruz can be called by Uruguay and Erick Pulgar by Chile.
