Last Friday (12), striker Carlinhos was officially presented at a press conference at Ninho do Urubu. After the player's presentation, Marcos Braz and Bruno Spindel held a press conference where they again criticized the CBF for holding Brasileirão games during the Copa América.

Bruno Spindel mentioned that, beyond Flamengo, another 12 clubs asked the CBF for the Brasileirão matches to be suspended during the Copa América, giving way to clashes in the international competition. However, the request was denied by football's highest governing body, which outraged the director.

"The interest of 13 Serie A clubs was not to have games during the Copa América. That was clear. The CBF , I understand that out of commercial interest, he protected the Brazilian Cup. The least he could do is take the R$ 200 million, the R$ 300 million, that he has in profit and distribute it among those affected. At least, it would compensate for the loss of these players", said Bruno Spindel.

"The CBF said that the Copa do Brasil is a more important tournament, a knockout tournament, and removing players in this format has no way back. But removing athletes from 25% of the championship, you also decide. To top it off, the Copa do Brasil doesn't pay as well as people understand. It pays well for those who reach the final. For those who don't reach the final, the State Championship pays more. A club from São Paulo earns more at Paulista than it normally does wins in the Copa do Brasil, unless they reach the final", commented the Flamengo director.

" The teams from Rio will be better paid in the State Championship than in the Copa do Brasil, unless they reach at the final. 13 Serie A clubs made it clear that they preferred the Brasileirão not to be affected in this way by the Copa América. The CBF said it understands the interests of Brazilian clubs more than the clubs themselves. I don't think I understand the interests of each club more than each of their presidents", he concluded.

DURATION OF THE CUP AMÉRICA AND POSSIBLE DISMISSAL FOR FLAMENGO

The Copa América is scheduled to start on June 20th and end on July 14th, in the United States. This way, the CBF will not paralyze the Brasileirão during this period. Thus, the Flamengo could reach 8 or 9 absences during the competition.< /p>

Check it out:

"The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that the athlete Gabriel Barbosa underwent tests that did not diagnose an injury to the posterior muscle of his right thigh. The transfer window is close to closing. However, just like Flamengo, other clubs in Europe remain active in the market, making new signings. This is the case of Estrela Amadora (POR), which completed the purchase of Igor Jesus. The information was confirmed by Bruno Spindel.

“For Estrela Amadora (destination of Igor Jesus), from Portugal. It is a definitive transfer and we hope it can be completed by tomorrow”, confirmed Bruno Spindel, before entering Galeão International Airport. The director also said again that Mais Querido could sell other players in this transfer window.

"Other possible departures (could happen), but I can't comment. There are some markets that closed on the 30th, others on the 2, but there are others that close on the 16th, the 13th. These are questions that we are evaluating, what proposal we can come up with, always with total focus on the sporting side, so that we can have the most qualified and strongest squad possible. group is very strong to face the three competitions”, concluded Spindel.

SALE OF IGOR JESUS

Because it is not being used as much by Tite, the Flamengo decided to release Igor Jesus to Estrela Amadora. Mais Querido will receive 2 million euros (R$ 12.4 million) for 50% of the midfielder's rights. Thus, Rubro-Negro will keep the other 50%. Spindel, the expectation is that the sale will be completed by this Sunday (1).

FOCUS ON THE NEXT GAME

Without Igor Jesus, who was released by the club to prepare to travel to Portugal, Flamengo's squad embarked for São Paulo, to face Corinthians this Sunday (1), at 4pm, at Neo Química Arena.
