Last Monday (9), theSecretary of State for Energy and Marine Economypublished a notice that worried the red and black people. This is because Rio's Energy and Basic Sanitation Regulatory Agency (Agenersa) determined that part of the land at Gasologista, where Flamengo intends to build the stadium, belongs to Naturgy, the former Companhia Estadual de Gás (CEG ).
Thus, Fabrício Chicca, architect and specialist in construction of stadiums, summarized the situation in a post on his social networks: “For those who follow me, I already knew that there would be this problem to be solved. Naturgy occupies approximately 13 thousand m² of land, is an essential public service concessionaire, has a contract in force until 2027, renewable. The notice states that it will be Flamengo's cost to remove the gas pipe. Everything that is there is public information. That's it, can it be resolved? From the. You have to sit at the table, put your hand in your pocket, negotiate and resolve. This cost was not in the spreadsheet”, he wrote.
“This type of problem is common, has a cost and is part of the exercise of risk minimization. Namely, there will be other problems that must appear in the process. Minimizing risk was never about criticizing the board, or being pessimistic, it is a normal, technical process, which fundamentally aims to preserve Flamengo. Let it be done now with more attention by the new management”, added Chicca.
WHAT NATURGY DOES
Naturgy controls the supply to part of Rio through an active structure in the Gasometer land. Thus, the City Hall's expropriation did not include the area, and a sports facility can only continue with a resolution.
In this way, to As the construction of the stadium progresses, it is necessary to remove material from Naturgy, such as gas pipes that are below ground. Thus, the costs will be in the range of R$100 million to R$250 million.
EDUARDO PAES REASONS FLAMENGO FANS
Recently,Eduardo Paescame to reassure Flamengo. However, no action has taken place yet: “They are making me defend Flamengo more than I would like: let it be clear that this is not the cost of this transfer and that, when it happens, it will be the responsibility of Rio City Hall, which knows that This structure cannot be in an area that already hosts so many residential buildings. It's been in our plans for a long time! Flamengo will have its new stadium there in Gasometer with all the quality and security that the region demands and deserves. Period”, he said.

Having received astronomical offers for the most noble space in the Manto Sagrado, Mengão reached an agreement with Pixbet to end the partnership.
13 Ago 2025 | 16:49 |
Flamengo announced this Wednesday (13) that it has terminated its sponsorship agreement with Pixbet . The contract, valid from January 2024, was for two years (until December), with the possibility of automatic renewal for two more seasons — a clause that should be activated in September.
Expected values with PixBet:
The agreement also included FlaBet, Flamengo's own betting house, managed by PixBet:
The favorite to take over Flamengo's master sponsorship , SuperBet, faces stiff competition from Betano. The club has not yet decided on a new partner, but expects to sign a contract starting in September. Both companies have submitted three-year proposals, with values exceeding R$200 million per season and bonuses for targets, which could make the deal even more lucrative.
According to the ge portal, SuperBet's offer would surpass the contract signed with São Paulo, valued at R$600 million through 2030 , and could reach R$1 billion once the goals are met. Flamengo is working to make the new deal the largest sponsorship in Brazilian football.
The relationship began to strain after delays in installment payments, a situation the company admitted, acknowledging difficulties in honoring upcoming commitments . There are indications that PixBet will not exercise the renewal clause and will leave the club.
Flamengo 's board of directors wants to end the partnership in September so that the new sponsor can take over the uniforms immediately. PixBet is pleased with this possibility due to the outstanding amounts , but if an amicable agreement isn't reached, the termination will only take place in December, as stipulated in the contract.
Besides SuperBet and Betano, other bookmakers approached the club but withdrew due to the high fees required. If PixBet's exit is confirmed, the next sponsor will need to cover not only the master contract but also the corresponding amount for FlaBet .
